Hello,

This is Wendy.

I'm so happy that you've chosen to join me for today's meditation on opening your spiritual heart.

Your spiritual heart is located in the center of your chest at the same level as your physical heart.

For today's meditation,

I will be asking you to visualize or imagine your spiritual heart as a sphere of spinning light.

For the purposes of this meditation,

You do not need to actually see anything.

You may simply imagine it or sense it.

It all works in the same way.

So before we begin,

Take a moment to make sure that you're very comfortable.

You may choose to be seated or laying down.

And then once you've settled yourself in,

Gently close your eyes.

And just take another moment with your eyes closed to be sure that you're as comfortable as you can be,

Making any little adjustment that you need.

Good.

So let's begin by gently taking a few cleansing breaths together.

These cleansing breaths involve inhaling slowly in a controlled manner through the nose,

Briefly holding the breath in and then very slowly exhaling through your mouth.

So let's begin together.

Inhaling.

Exhaling.

Good.

Let's do that again.

Inhaling slowly.

Hold.

And a controlled exhale.

And one more time.

Inhaling.

Hold.

And a gentle release.

Good.

And now keeping your eyes closed,

Just breathe normally.

No need to control your breath.

Simply observe it and be aware of your natural breath flowing in and out.

As long as it is comfortable,

I suggest that you have your mouth gently closed and allow all the inhales and exhales to just flow naturally through your nose.

Although your lips are gently closed,

You can allow a slight space between your upper and lower teeth.

This will allow your jaw to relax completely.

If you'd like,

You may place the very tip of your tongue on the roof of your mouth on the little ridge behind your two front teeth.

This energy point is sometimes referred to as fire point.

By gently placing the tip of your tongue here,

You create an energy connection that may assist you in experiencing transcendent states during your meditation.

It also allows your jaw to relax completely.

If this is uncomfortable for you,

Then just allow your tongue to rest naturally in your mouth.

Once again,

Bring your attention to your breath and just follow it.

Observe it as it comes in and out.

Just be aware of your breath.

By placing your attention on your breath,

You bring yourself into the present moment.

In the present moment,

There is no past or future to concern yourself with because you are present right here,

Right now,

In this perfect,

Precious present moment.

If at any time during the meditation,

You find that you are drifting away from the present moment,

Just come back to your breath and become aware of it.

And that will bring you back to the present.

So keeping your eyes gently closed,

I invite you now to move your attention from your breath to your heart,

Your physical heart.

Perhaps you can sense or feel or hear or imagine your heartbeat.

And now I invite you to move your attention from your physical heart to the center of your chest.

Placing your attention at the same level as your physical heart,

But in the center of your chest,

Aligned with your spine.

This is where your spiritual energetic heart center resides.

You may visualize or imagine your heart center as a point or small sphere of light.

A beautiful,

Pure,

Divine,

White light.

This light is like a spiritual pilot light,

Always there,

Always burning,

Always glowing.

And just like a pilot light,

It is a divine spark that can lead to a brighter light,

A bigger flame.

Now visualize or imagine that this divine light located in the center of your chest begins to grow larger.

Allow it to expand and grow and radiate light in all directions.

Radiating beautiful light forward,

Radiating beautiful light backward,

Radiating beautiful light to the left.

Radiating pure white light to the right,

Radiating this light upward and radiating this light downward.

Expanding this light outward evenly in all directions until it completely fills your chest.

Perhaps you feel a sense of comfort or warmth.

This light is a light of love and it is your birthright.

It is always there and you can expand it at any time by coming into the present moment and intending the opening and expansion of your heart light.

And now we can continue to allow this light to grow even larger until it expands beyond our physical bodies,

Until it encompasses our entire physical body.

So that our entire physical body is surrounded by this love light,

This divine light.

And now you can continue to allow this light to expand even further until it completely fills the room or space in which you are now resting,

Creating a beautiful sacred space,

A beautiful field of light,

Love and healing.

Allow yourself to let go.

Allow yourself to feel the love.

Allow yourself to feel safe and nurtured and whole.

Allow yourself to feel a sense of peace and balance.

And now allow this beautiful love light to expand even further,

Allowing it to expand as far as you like while still feeling connected to it.

If you choose,

You can allow your heart light to encompass the whole planet or beyond.

The choice is yours.

Allow your light,

Your heart light to expand to whatever level feels appropriate for you right now.

Once you've allowed this light to expand,

We want to qualify the light,

Add an intention to this light that we are choosing to share with others.

You may choose to share peace,

Love,

Abundance,

Wholeness,

Health.

Choose what it is that you wish to share with others.

Set an intention for this light that you are radiating from your heart.

That's good.

And now in this expanded,

Open-hearted state,

We will spend some time in silence.

While in the silence,

I invite you to silently repeat the following mantra.

I am love.

I am love.

I am love.

Silently repeat the mantra over and over,

Very gently,

Very softly.

This silent repetition of the mantra should be almost effortless so that it is more like you are listening to it than actually repeating it.

I am love.

Continue to silently repeat the mantra,

Even as I speak.

As you continue to silently repeat the mantra,

You may find at times that you drift away.

You may drift away to other thoughts or sounds or even physical sensations in your body.

Anything at all may take your attention away from the mantra.

And that is okay.

That is part of the practice.

Whenever you become aware that you have drifted away from the mantra,

Don't judge that.

Just gently come back to the mantra.

I am love.

I am going to be silent now so that we can spend some time together in the silence with our mantra.

When you hear the soft chime,

You can release the mantra but continue to rest with your eyes closed.

So let us begin.

I am love.

Keeping your eyes closed,

You can stop repeating the mantra.

Once again,

Place your attention on your heart,

On your spiritual heart in the center of your chest.

Visualize that your expanded heart light returns back inside your body,

Knowing that you can choose to expand it in the future whenever you desire.

Whenever you desire to comfort and heal yourself with love and light,

And whenever you desire to share that with others.

All you need do is settle down.

Connect with your breath.

Come into the present moment and then allow your heart to open and expand.

It's as easy as that.

This simple practice is powerful.

This simple practice can help not only you,

But all beings.

Thank you for sharing your light.

Thank you for sharing your love.

And now let's close our meditation.

By chanting the mantra OM out loud one time,

OM is a universal mantra or sound.

It is a sound that embodies all vibrations.

It is a sound of peace and love.
