
Guided Meditation For A Positive Body Image
This meditation will help you create a more loving and accepting relationship with your body - you deserve it! We will begin with a relaxing guided journey in nature to help you connect to your 5 senses and feel completely peaceful. You'll then be guided to a mirror to bring love and healing to areas of your body with which you need to strengthen your relationship.

Hello and welcome to your meditation to cultivate a positive body image.
My name is Taylor LaForse and I will be guiding you on this journey today.
We'll begin by relaxing our bodies in the space we're in,
Relaxing our mind in a peaceful place in nature,
And then we'll go on a journey to cultivate a positive body image.
So take a few moments to get nice and comfortable.
This could be seated or laying down.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
And let's begin by taking three nice and slow deep breaths.
And with every breath,
Tell yourself it's time to relax.
And as you breathe,
Focus on your body.
Feel your body resting comfortably on the chair,
The ground,
Or the couch.
And notice your body sinking deeper and deeper into the cushions or into the mat or floor,
Relaxing you more.
And notice the sound of the music playing softly in the background.
And as you do,
The gentle rhythm relaxes you even more.
And throughout this journey,
You will hear the sound of my voice.
And just allow any outside noises near or far to relax you more.
And notice the temperature in the room feels just right,
Perfectly comfortable and relaxing.
And as your body relaxes comfortably in this space,
Allow your mind to drift and drift all the way to a beautiful,
Safe,
And relaxing place in nature.
And allow your mind to create this space for you now.
Perhaps you're at the beach or in a beautiful forest or in a meadow.
Just allow your mind to create the perfect nature scene for you now.
And notice exactly what you need to relax.
And notice what you sense around you.
Take in all that you see.
Noticing at least three pieces in this space that you can visually appreciate and connect to more.
Everything you see relaxes you completely.
Notice what sounds you hear in this beautiful place.
Perhaps you hear birds,
The gentle whistle of the wind.
Perhaps you hear a waterfall nearby or the trees.
And just allow everything you hear to bring you a sense of calm,
Peace,
And perfect relaxation.
And notice now that there is a fragrance in the air.
And as you breathe in,
This set relaxes you more.
Enjoying every breath in this peaceful place.
And as you take a look around this space,
You notice that there is something you would like to touch.
To physically feel with your hands or your body.
And take a moment to touch that now.
Notice how good it feels.
Notice how relaxing it feels.
And how it allows you to connect to this space even more.
And everything in this space will help you on your journey to cultivate a positive body image.
As all the pieces of nature radiate from the inside out as do you.
And notice now there is something in this space that you would like to eat.
Perhaps to drink or to take a bite out of.
Find something to taste now.
And as you enjoy this bite or sip,
It brings you the strength and self-confidence that you need.
You are now deeply relaxed.
But decide to relax even deeper.
So imagine leaning back somewhere comfortable or laying down completely in this beautiful place.
And as you rest,
Safe and sound,
It is a beautiful day.
The sun is shining.
And allow the beautiful,
Warm,
Golden healing rays of the sun to shine down upon you from the top of your head all the way down to the bottom of your feet.
Penetrating every cell in your body with the clearing,
Healing,
Strength and protection that you need.
And allow this warm,
Relaxing energy to surround you completely.
Creating a protective barrier all the way around your body,
Above and below.
You are now at a perfect level of relaxation to go on a journey.
And on this journey,
You will be able to cultivate a positive body image.
So see yourself now standing in front of a full-length mirror.
Observing your body from head to toe with loving eyes.
As you gaze at your reflection,
Notice how your body supports you and allows you to experience life fully.
Feel a deep sense of gratitude for your body that grows stronger and stronger with every moment.
And bring your attention now to one area of your body that you have felt critical of in the past and are ready to lovingly accept.
Imagine this part of your body being filled with a soft,
Pink light surrounding this area with love and complete acceptance.
Feel a positive healing energy flowing into this part of your body,
Transforming any and all prior beliefs that you are ready to let go of into purely positive ones.
Feel a deep sense of love,
Self-acceptance,
And deep compassion as you continue to look at yourself in the mirror with love and compassion.
I offer you the following affirmations to repeat along silently in your mind,
Allowing them to fully sink deeper and deeper into your subconscious mind for a permanent and positive change that you deserve.
My body is unique and perfect just the way it is.
I appreciate my body for all of the wonderful things it allows me to do.
I am deserving of love and respect regardless of my physical appearance.
I choose to focus on the qualities which are vast that make me beautiful inside and out.
I choose to fully release any comparison or judgment,
And I embrace my own individual beauty.
These positive affirmations are becoming a part of your being,
Integrating into your thoughts and beliefs about yourself perfectly.
Embrace this beautiful feeling of self-acceptance and unconditional love for your body,
And see yourself now moving through life radiating confidence and self-assurance,
Perhaps seeing something you've been wanting to do.
These positive feelings and beliefs you have cultivated will remain with you always.
You have the power and have transformed your body image and have embraced the uniqueness of your body.
You are beautiful exactly as you are.
So send yourself now any loving wishes or thoughts,
Speaking perfectly from your heart,
From a pure loving place.
Now that you have cultivated a positive body image,
We're going to go now into the future to see what will happen now that your beliefs about yourself have been changed.
So allow your mind to take you to that future point now and notice what you're doing.
Notice how you feel.
Notice what or who is around you.
And take a few moments to get a better understanding of what you're sensing.
Now we'll give you a few moments of quiet to do so.
Now that you have experienced the benefits of cultivating a positive body image,
Bring all of the positive feelings of this future scene with you back now into the present moment.
You are coming now back into this room.
So bring yourself,
Your consciousness,
All pieces of you fully back into your body.
Our journey is complete.
I'm going to count up from one to five.
And when I reach five,
You'll awaken feeling very refreshed,
Alert,
And able to remember all of the details of your meditation.
One,
Take a deep breath.
You are beginning to awaken.
Two,
You are feeling light and elevated.
All body functions are returning to normal,
Moving your fingers and hands.
Three,
You're becoming more alert and clear headed.
Four,
Feeling very happy,
Rested and refreshed,
Ready to come all the way back now,
All the way down to your feet.
And five,
You are wide awake,
Fully aware and feeling great.
You may open your eyes whenever you're ready.
And welcome back.
