Welcome.
And I hope that each one of you will come to find peace within yourself.
Tonight,
We're going to go back into the depths of the Enchanted Forest.
One of my favorite places to go.
You know I love forests.
And if you've done my sleep meditations before,
You might remember that the Sea of Tranquility is at the end of the path that leads through the Enchanted Forest.
You have to go through the Enchanted Forest to get to the Sea.
And through the Enchanted Forest runs Peace River as it goes to the Sea.
Now we're walking on a path that winds its way through the forest.
And as we walk,
You can hear the leaves crunching underfoot.
Tonight,
However,
We're going to stop in a beautiful clearing that we'll get to before we get to the Sea.
You can see a picture of the clearing that lead into the meditation.
Now on either side of the path,
There are towering pine trees and massive oaks.
And there are also some mystical trees that we can't really identify.
But they're there.
And if you peer into the forest from the path,
You can see dogwood trees that are still in bloom as well as lilacs,
My favorite.
Some jasmine vines cling to the mighty trees.
And this variety of fragrances sense the air.
You can hear the babbling of the Peace River as it flows through the forest to the Sea.
Now,
As we walk along the path,
Give yourself permission right now to let go of everything else that you're concerned with.
Before we get started,
We're here to go to sleep tonight.
Make sure all of your routine nighttime activities are taken care of,
Like locking the door,
Checking the lights,
Making sure the stove is on.
You know what I mean.
And be sure to silence all of your devices except the one that you're listening to this on.
You can just lay in your bed,
Or your sleeping bag,
Or on your couch,
Or in your comfy recliner,
And start to settle in and get comfortable.
Comfort should always be your first consideration when you meditate,
And especially when you want to go to sleep.
And if you want,
You can close your eyes now.
Take in a deep breath,
And as you exhale,
Let go of any tension in your body.
Feel your body sinking into your bed,
Or whatever it is you're laying on.
And feel it becoming heavier with each breath.
If you want,
You can imagine yourself standing at the edge of the enchanted forest,
And it's a place of magic and tranquility.
Take a moment to notice the gentle rustling of the leaves,
And the soft blow of the fireflies.
And with each breath,
Feel a wave of relaxation,
Starting from the top of your head,
Slowly moving down to your shoulders,
And down to your arms,
Down across your chest,
All the way to your toes.
Let go of any remaining thoughts or worries.
This is your time.
It's your time to sleep,
To give your body the rest it needs.
Not much further now,
The path is moss-covered and well-worn from previous trips.
And with each step,
You feel more at peace.
The air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers,
And the distant sound of the babbling peace river.
The river flows through the enchanted forest until it empties into the sea of tranquility.
Notice the vibrant colors of the flowers,
And the gentle sway of the trees.
Feel the cool,
Refreshing breeze on your skin.
There's just a gentle rain coming down,
But it's not enough to bother us.
Find a cozy spot under a large ancient tree,
And feel the tree's energy grounding you,
Connecting you to the earth.
Just listen to the soothing sounds of nature around you.
Now we're to the clearing.

This is a magical place.
Listen to the soothing sounds of nature around you.
The chirping of the crickets,
The whisper of the wind,
The sound of the gentle rain pattering on the leaves.
Some birds in the trees are still getting ready for sleep,
But most of them have settled down.
Allow these sounds to lull you into a deeper state of relaxation.
In such a magical place,
You can release all your cares.
Now snuggle into your covers and continue to relax.
You're just breathing softly,
Breathing in and breathing out one breath at a time.
I want you to imagine a soft golden light beginning to surround you.
This golden light fills you with warmth and a sense of peace.
And this light represents the healing energy of the enchanted forest.
Now as you breathe in,
Feel this light entering your body,
Bringing you calm and serenity.
And as you exhale,
Release any worries or any stress.
Just repeat to yourself,
I am safe.
I am calm.
I am ready for sleep.
I am safe.
I am calm.
I am ready for sleep.
And as you continue to breathe deeply,
Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed.
The gentle sound of the rain and the soft sigh of the wind are guiding you to a restful sleep.
Allow your mind to just drift,
Knowing that you are in a place of complete safety and tranquility.
We're just here breathing as the forest settles around us.
If you listen carefully,
It sounds like all the birds have gone off to sleep,
Their heads tucked under their wings.
It's time for us to do the same.
The river keeps flowing and the gentle rain patters on the leaves of the trees.
And the rain falls and the river runs and the forest settles into quiet.
And you can feel the breeze soft against your skin as the rain quietly falls,
Just gently pattering on the leaves.
And the river runs.
The river flows on and on,
Always different yet always the same.
And the forest is so quiet.
The birds and the other creatures have drifted off to sleep and so shall we.
