When I Listen, I Open
"When I Listen, I Open" is an eight-minute listening meditation with vocals by Mary Hoang and original composition by avant-garde composer Phondupe (Rich Lucano). The meditation uses listening as a form of grounding to the present moment, and as a mode of emotion regulation. Sonically, the music is based around an assortment of bells from different cultures, paired with field recordings taken on Dharug Country (The Blue Mountains) in Australia.
