Welcome to my welcome home meditation.
This meditation guides you to come home.
May happen,
But it's not the goal.
The goal is relationship.
It gently invites you into the inside-out living process through these steps.
Aussie?
Earning an award.
Noticing,
Befriending.
Reconnecting.
And finally choosing how to return to the world.
You don't have to stay home perfectly.
You only have to remember that you can return again and again.
And again.
Until one day,
Returning feels like the most natural thing in the world.
So,
Let's begin.
I am so glad you're here.
I want you to know something.
There is nothing you need to fix in this moment.
Nothing you need to accomplish.
Nothing you need to become.
For these next few minutes,
We're simply practicing something that many of us forgot how to do.
You're remembering the way home.
So let's find a position that feels supportive for your body.
You may close your eyes.
Of the near gaze or simply look at one spot in front of you.
Notice that you've already begun.
If paused.
That alone is a beautiful beginning.
Now take a slow breath in and a long gentle breath out.
Nothing forced,
Nothing perfect,
Just enough.
And again.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Allow your shoulders to soften if they'd like.
Unclench your jaw if it feels written.
Feel the places where your body is being supported.
That's it.
You're already doing it.
And now,
Gently bring your attention inward.
Not because something is wrong,
But because you matter.
And ask yourself quietly,
Hey,
How are you doing over there?
No need to rush to answer.
Simply notice what comes.
Maybe you notice thoughts,
Maybe emotions,
Maybe sensations in your body.
Maybe nothing at all.
Every response is welcome.
Imagine your awareness becoming warm and spacious,
Like sunlight moving across a quiet room.
There is nothing to force into the light.
Only an invitation.
As you gently notice your inner experience,
See if you can replace judgment with curiosity.
So instead of,
Why am I like this?
Perhaps ask,
I wonder what's happening for me right now?
If you notice anxiety,
Simply whisper,
Hello,
Anxiety.
If you notice sadness,
Hey,
Sadness.
If you notice anger,
Hey,
What's up,
Anger?
Not because these feelings define you,
But because every feeling deserves to be acknowledged before it can self-destruct.
Notice what happens when you stop pushing your experience away.
Just take a moment with me.
And when you're ready,
Let's imagine every part of you,
Every emotion and thought gathering around a warm fire.
The worried parts,
The angry parts,
The tired parts,
The hopeful parts,
The joyful parts.
All the parts that have worked so hard to protect you.
No one is asked to leave.
No one is asked.
To earn belonging.
There is room for everyone here.
And in the center of that gathering,
Notice in the warm hearth that steady,
Compassionate presence.
That is simply witnessing it all.
That is the core of you.
That has never been broken.
Take some time to rest there for a few breaths.
And I invite you to see if maybe you feel like placing a hand over your heart.
Or anywhere your body naturally asks for support and hold.
Quietly offer your hearts,
Emotions,
Thoughts these words.
I see you.
I hear you.
I'm here now.
You don't have to do this alone anymore.
And once again take your time.
Let the words land wherever they can.
And now,
One last question.
What do I need today?
Not for the rest of my life,
Not for next year,
Just today.
Maybe the answer is rest,
Movement,
Boundaries,
Play,
Courage,
Connection.
Or simply another breath.
Trust whatever comes.
And before we finish,
Please remember this.
Returning home isn't something you do once.
It's a relationship.
One that deepens every time you pause,
Every time you notice,
Every time you choose compassion over criticism.
Every time you remember yourself.
You don't have to stay home perfectly.
You only have to know that you can return again and again and again.
Now let's take one more slow breath in.
And a gentle breath out,
Maybe a sigh that follows.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Slowly look around,
Begin moving your body a bit more.
And as you return to your day,
Pick yourself with you.
