Good morning.
Today I wanted to invite you to wake up a little differently.
Rather than rushing into your thoughts,
Let's invite your body to lead.
No pressure,
No performance,
Just curiosity.
So let's begin with one big stretch,
But maybe make it a bit ridiculous,
A little exaggerated,
A little different.
Perhaps you reach farther than you normally would.
Allow yawn to come out if it comes.
Maybe even make a sound.
Do whatever feels right.
Or interesting.
And now let's move one body part you've never consciously started your morning with.
How about your elbows,
Or your wrists,
Your ankles,
Your eyebrows,
Or nose?
Sky is the limit here.
Just check in and see what body part might want to move.
That normally doesn't get much of your attention in the morning.
And we're just going to be curious about it.
That's it.
You might find some judgments.
Coming in to your head,
That's all right.
Just notice them and come back into the moment,
Into your body,
And into the stillness a little bit.
Alright,
So let's take another step.
Let's pretend your body just arrived from another planet.
How would it explore Earth?
There's so many things to explore,
Not knowing what Earth is about,
Right?
Look around,
Maybe walk slowly.
Or maybe even you just touch your face and take a moment with it.
With this new sensation of exploring an unfamiliar body.
Notice textures.
Observe sounds.
I invite you to become delightfully weird.
Give yourself permission to be just that in your own unique way.
Great.
So let's shake a little bit now.
Engage your hands,
Arms,
Legs,
Shoulders.
Nothing too strong.
We don't want you to get hurt.
Just a little movement,
Loosening up of your joints.
Your muscles,
Bringing them back to life.
Almost as if you were shaking yesterday off.
Your body.
Or maybe shaking off.
A bad dream or.
.
.
The annoyance that you have to get up and go to work.
When you feel ready to stop the shaking.
Let's ask your body.
What kind of day would feel good today?
And here's the thing,
Let's try not to think too much.
Just listen.
See whatever comes up.
It might be silly.
It might be nothing.
It might be very clear and specific.
Maybe your body wants a gentle kind of day,
Or creative,
Steady,
Brave,
Playful kind of day.
Whether it's one word or a whole list of things.
See if you can carry that with you today.
Maybe even wonder how that can.
.
.
Actually be executed.
In a continuously playful and maybe a little bit weird way.
But before you step into your day.
I encourage you to think your body,
Not because it's perfect,
But because it has carried you through every day you've ever lived.
End.
I wanted to send you off.
With gratitude and one final statement welcome home
