Welcome to this Yoga Nidra Sleep Meditation.

Yoga Nidra is the yoga of sleep.

Begin by finding a comfortable position for your practice.

You can lie down on your back with your arms by your sides,

Palms facing up.

Make any adjustments necessary to ensure your body is fully supported and relaxed.

Make sure that you are undisturbed.

Now close your eyes and take a deep breath in.

As you exhale,

Allow your body to settle into a state of deep relaxation.

This Yoga Nidra practice will guide you through different stages,

Allowing you to release tension and find profound rest.

Bring your awareness to the sensations in your body.

Scan from the top of your head to the tips of your toes,

Observing any areas of tightness or discomfort.

As you notice these sensations,

Simply acknowledge them and let them go.

You are in a safe place for healing and relaxation.

Now is the time to set an intention for this practice.

A Sankalpa,

An intention or affirmation that aligns with your truest desires and aspirations.

Take a moment to connect with your heart's deepest longing.

And when you're ready,

Silently repeat your Sankalpa three times with conviction and clarity.

With your Sankalpa firmly established,

Allow it to resonate within you,

Infusing every cell of your being.

Trust that the power of your intention will guide you to a state of healing and deep restorative rest.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your abdomen with each inhale and exhale.

Allow your breath to guide you even deeper into relaxation.

As you continue breathing,

Bring your awareness to the sensation of heaviness in your body.

Feel the weight of your body sinking into the bed.

With each breath out,

Release any residual tension,

Allowing your body to become more and more limp and relaxed.

Now shift your focus to the sensation of warmth in your body.

Visualize a radiant light enveloping you,

Spreading a soothing warmth throughout your entire being.

Feel this warmth penetrating your muscles,

Joints,

And organs,

Promoting deep relaxation and healing.

Let go of any thoughts or distractions.

Allow your mind to become still and calm,

Like the surface of a lake.

When thoughts arise,

Simply observe them without judgment and let them float away like clouds in the sky.

This is a time for you to surrender.

It's a time for deep peace.

Now bring your attention to different parts of your body and follow my voice.

Simply listen and follow along,

Allowing your awareness to move through each area as I mention it.

Bring your attention to your right hand thumb.

Feel a sense of relaxation and release spreading through it.

Move to your index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky finger.

Allow each finger to relax completely.

Shift your awareness to your right hand palm.

Sense the warmth and softness in your palm letting it relax deeply.

Now move your attention to your wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

And shoulder.

Feel the muscles loosening and any tension melting away.

Move your attention to your left hand thumb.

Feel a sense of calm and tranquility spreading through it.

Continue to your left index finger,

Middle finger,

Ring finger,

And pinky finger.

Allow each finger to release any tension.

Shift your attention to your left hand palm.

Sense the gentle warmth and relaxation in your palm.

Now bring your awareness to your wrist,

Forearm,

Elbow,

Upper arm,

And shoulder.

Feel the muscles softening and any residual stress disappearing.

Now shift your attention to your right big toe.

Feel a sense of relaxation and release spreading through it.

Move to your second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

And pinky toe.

Allow each toe to relax completely.

Now shift your awareness to the sole of your right foot.

Sense the gentle warmth and softness in your foot letting it relax deeply.

Now focus your attention to your ankle,

Calf,

Shin,

Knee,

And thigh.

Feel the muscles loosening and any tension of your right leg just melting away.

Move your attention to your left big toe.

Feel a sense of calm and tranquility spreading through it.

Now shift your attention to your left foot.

Feel a sense of relaxation and warmth in your foot.

Now bring your awareness to your ankle,

Calf,

Shin,

Knee,

And thigh.

Feel a sense of softness and relaxation in your foot.

Shift your attention to your left foot.

Sense the gentle warmth and softness in your foot.

Now bring your awareness to your ankle,

Calf,

Shin,

Knee,

And thigh.

Feel the muscles softening and any residual stress disappearing from your left leg.

Now bring your attention to your entire body as a whole.

Feel the sensations of deep relaxation,

Warmth,

And heaviness permeating every inch of your being.

Allow your body to rest in this state of profound stillness and peace.

Now is the time for your body to recharge,

Refresh,

And restore.

All of the tension from the day is gone and your cells and every organ of your body is able to regenerate,

Replenish,

And nourish and nurture yourself.

Now allow your cells to return to their perfect state.

Allow your cells to return to their perfect state.

Allow your cells to return to their perfect state.

Program your cells to work tirelessly as you sink even deeper into a state of deep relaxation,

Inviting sleep to come into you now,

To come upon you now,

Allowing sleep to envelop and transform you,

Transporting you into a state of dreams,

Lucid dreams,

Dreams where you are able to paint any picture you desire,

Experience any feelings you desire,

Find answers to questions that puzzle you,

And know that you are going into a state where you can find the wisdom that you seek in this very deep state of relaxation.

Now allow your body to rejuvenate.

As we approach the end of this practice,

Express gratitude to yourself for dedicating this time to your wellbeing,

Knowing that the deeper you sleep,

The more you rest,

That you are able to have the most incredible energy during your waking hours,

That know now that you have taken a significant step toward healing and restoration by giving this attention with loving gratitude to your body for everything your body does for you,

And now you are wanting to pay it back and allow your body to get the deep restorative sleep.

Take in a breath and another breath and each breath visualize yourself entering a state of deep,

Deep restorative sleep.

Feel the nurturing embrace of the night as you surrender to the healing power of rest,

Knowing that you will wake up refreshed,

Re-energized,

And filled with inspiration in the morning upon your waking time.
