This short visualization offers a quiet space for reflection and self-inquiry. In just five minutes, disconnect from the relentless flood of external input and reconnect with what truly matters to you. Through gentle attention and imagination, the practice invites you to explore what feels meaningful to you right now, including your values, aspirations, and sense of contribution. Rather than searching for the “right” answers, you are encouraged to listen with openness and curiosity, allowing insights to emerge naturally.

The three questions.

For this guided visualization,

Please find a place where you can be comfortable and undisturbed for about five minutes.

You don't need any particular or special posture,

However,

It's easier for most people to visualize with their eyes closed.

We'll begin with three deep diaphragmatic breaths,

Inhaling through the nostrils and directing the in-breath down into the belly,

Feeling first the belly expand and then the chest,

Feeling the whole torso with the in-breath up to the collarbones.

Then exhale fully and completely,

Emptying the torso of the breath so that you pull the belly button back toward the spine before taking in the next breath.

Repeat this process for two more cycles of in-breaths and out-breaths.

After the third exhalation,

Allow the breath to breathe itself as it does whenever you're not controlling it.

Now,

Imagine a beautiful place in nature where you can lie on your back on a blanket and look up at the blue sky in all its vastness.

Pick a spot where you can be perfectly comfortable and create the conditions in your environment where your mind and body can relax and the senses can open.

Take a moment to imagine the sounds and sensations you experience as you lie comfortably in this idyllic spot.

As you lie here,

Gently gazing at the sky above you,

Reflect on the following three questions,

Waiting until the end to write down your answers.

If anything were possible,

Anything at all,

What would you love to receive from the world?

Let your imagination soar.

Let it be as wide as the sky above you and allow your answer to be unedited.

Here,

In the privacy of your own heart and mind,

There's no right or wrong,

No need for embarrassment or correction.

Next,

If you could grow in any way,

How would you love to develop in this lifetime?

What qualities would you love to nurture?

Knowing there's no one to judge you or even to hold you to your answer,

Let your imagination let yourself dream.

And finally,

If you could offer anything to the world,

Anything at all,

What would you love to offer?

How would you like to contribute?

Be remembered.

Again,

Allowing this answer to be uncensored,

Unrestrained by logic,

Humility,

Embarrassment,

Or any of the concerns that might come up were you to say this answer out loud.

When you're ready,

Take a few minutes to write down your answers.

Thank you for joining us.
