I'm Imani Nicole and I'm grateful for this moment to share the breath with you.

Begin by finding a comfortable seat in a comfortable place.

You can be seated or laying down.

Rest your gaze and breathe,

Relaxing the muscles in your face,

In your shoulders,

As you lengthen your spine and breathe,

Inhaling into the nose,

Exhaling slowly out through the nose.

Slow deep breaths into your belly,

Allowing your chest to rise,

Suspending at the breath for just a few seconds and slowly exhaling.

Today you will cultivate coolness and calm.

Where do you feel the breath?

Do you feel it through your nostrils as it guides down the back of your throat?

Maybe you feel it at the depth of your stomach,

At the top of your diaphragm.

And now checking in with how your body feels right now and making any adjustments that you'd like.

It is a stream that is outside in the world of the earth in nature.

And I want you to bring that stream inside of you,

Feeling the coolness of the waters flow from your fingertips up your forearms and through your elbows,

Making their way up to your shoulders.

That cool stream moves through you.

You are the beautiful stream.

Staying in touch with your breath here.

Inhale,

Exhale,

Guiding the stream around your head,

Down the sides of your body,

Moving through your legs,

Through your stomach,

Just feeling the coolness of that stream.

What else do you see here?

The white cast of the cool waters flowing in the creek,

Or maybe it's a river or a lake,

Allowing them to be with you to demonstrate and resemble the calm that exists within you,

The coolness.

Just take yourself back to this beautiful stream,

A calm,

Cool stream,

Slowly returning back into this moment,

This presence,

Showering yourself with gratitude and love for showing up for yourself today,

For showing up for this practice to share the breath.

May you find coolness and calmness whenever you need it,

And especially right now.
