Let's begin this meditation to set the tone for today.
You may close your eyes or keep them open for a more wakeful presence.
It is up to you.
Take in a breath of fresh morning air.
And when you exhale,
Relax the body.
Say to yourself,
Today is a new day.
Become aware of your body and how it is positioned.
Are there any areas of tension?
Are there any areas of relaxation?
Being mindful of your body is a great way to start the day.
Make sure your posture is nice and straight and you are holding yourself with honor.
What are some things you hope to achieve today?
Even small tasks are very important.
Allow your mind to think of all the things you want to accomplish today.
You have all you need to make today a great day.
Begin to think about the healthy choices you are going to make today.
You feel healthy and strong today.
Now begin to think of any challenges that may occur today.
Know that within you,
You have the ability to solve any challenges that come your way.
Now picture yourself making smart decisions.
Choices that are for the best.
You know the right choice to make and you take pride in choosing the way of kindness.
And even through struggles and pain,
You are happy and content with your life.
For you have much to be grateful for.
Begin to imagine some things and people that you appreciate having in your life.
You are looking forward to having more experiences with these wonderful people today.
You are grateful for this day.
You will make a positive contribution to this world.
Breathe in slowly and deeply,
Becoming aware of your body once again.
Noticing the different sensations in the different areas.
Relaxing,
Enjoying this moment to yourself.
Starting the day feeling great.
Allow for a gentle smile to come across your face and repeat to yourself these affirmations either silently or out loud.

I have all the tools that I need to make today an awesome day.
I know that I can overcome any challenge that comes my way.
