This meditation is intended to establish empathy,
Patience and a calm demeanor.
Please get into a comfortable position and take a deep breath in.
As you exhale relax and let your eyes gently close.
Let's bring about a feeling of compassion.
Bring both of your hands over your heart.
See if you can feel your heart beating beneath your palms.
And think about someone that you really care about.
Notice what you feel in your heart when you think about this person you love.
Now take this same quality of love that you have for this person,
Feeling it in your heart.
And extend it out to others in a positive way.
Making for all of your daily interactions filled with compassion and understanding.
The same that you have for your loved one.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale feel yourself calm down.
Breathe in deeply again.
And when you breathe out imagine your tension is melting away.
When you have empathy for someone else you can put yourself in their shoes and feel how they feel about their life situations.
This helps you better connect to others.
Say to yourself now,
I have empathy for others.
Wonderful.
Now let's cultivate patience.
Having great patience is something that's beneficial to all areas of your life.
So imagine now,
Seeing yourself having great patience.
Taking time to wait in line.
Enjoying yourself as you do so.
Having patience with yourself when achieving new goals.
Taking life step by step.
Wonderful.
Now let your mind drift and float to a vision of you in the future with a calm demeanor.
Notice how you react to situations in a calm manner.
You can always keep your cool.
Now breathe in very deeply and bring this calm demeanor back into the present moment.
Taking out your life with patience,
Empathy,
Compassion and an understanding heart.
