So,
Let's begin by getting really comfortable where you are,
And you might like to be sitting down or lying down.
You can make any adjustments that you need to feel really comfy here,
And as you find just the right position,
And as little adjustments happen naturally,
Already you can begin to settle,
And to give yourself this time to discharge,
To let go.
And so when you find just the right position for your body,
And you feel supported and the right temperature,
I'd like to invite you to close your eyes,
And to circle your eyes around behind your closed eyelids,
Either in circles or in figure eights,
And at some point your eyes will get tired,
And when that happens for you,
You can let them now completely relax,
And let them roll back behind the blankets of your eyelids,
Allowing a deep release that comes from your eyes and even in the center of your head,
A release that can wave down through your whole body,
And down through your neck,
Your spine,
Into your heart,
Into your lungs,
And a rest that can go deeply into all of your vital organs,
And so from the inside out,
You can put down all of the hard work that you've been doing,
And you can let a deeper sense of rest hold you here now,
And you may find a sense of ease now resting in your belly,
And if there remains any light sense of holding in your belly,
Just by noticing that it might soften,
And you might find space to breathe very deeply and effortlessly now into your belly,
And to breathe even very gently into your pelvis,
And to invite that same wave of release to continue traveling down now through your pelvis,
Down through your hips,
And down through both of your legs,
Into your thighs,
Your knees,
Your lower legs,
And your feet,
You may become aware of a certain sensation in the soles of your feet,
A certain openness that signals an even deeper release now,
A release that lets out something you didn't notice before,
A release that makes space for everything to be just hesitant,
And so noticing that release,
I wonder what it might be like to let that same release now start to wave up your body,
First taking over both of your feet and your ankles,
And noticing how it feels to let that beautiful energy,
This even deeper release now wave up through your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your upper legs,
And your hips,
And when the release moves up into your pelvis,
You might notice how it spreads out now in every direction,
And fills up every cell now in the center of your body,
While at the same time it moves up through your lower back,
Middle back,
Upper back,
Into your shoulders,
And then across through your collarbones,
Down across your chest,
Your ribs,
Your lungs,
And way down into your heart,
Into your solar plexus,
And into your belly again,
And I wonder what it might be like to receive a breath with this awareness now,
And with that breath to notice how that wave of relaxation has already begun to spread,
Naturally out through your arms,
And waving out through your shoulders and upper arms,
Into your elbows,
Your forearms,
Your wrists,
Your hands,
All ten of your fingers,
And even your palms,
And you may notice how that same energy in your palms right now has already begun to wave up through your neck,
And you can receive it in the back of your neck,
The sides of your neck,
The front of your neck,
Your throat,
And it continues to wave up along the sides and back of your head,
Into your scalp,
Into the top of your head,
Into your ears,
And then down along the sides of your cheeks,
Into your lower jaw,
Your mouth,
Inside and out,
Your cheeks,
Your nose,
Your eyes,
Your eyebrows,
And the wave can close in on your whole forehead,
And then continue to wave down and back into any parts that were missed already,
Any parts that call for this relaxation now,
So your whole being and your whole body can be suspended in this wave of peace that's here,
Right now,
And I can feel so deep and so clear that it doesn't have to change now,
And if you decide to stay here and rest,
You can sink even deeper into this,
And if you're ready to come back,
You can let it stay with you now,
And you can make your way back by letting out a big sigh,
And then taking your time to come back to life.
