Hello and welcome to this meditation.
Thank you for joining me today.
Thank you for.
.
.
Sharing your time with me.
I invite you to.
Get comfortable wherever you're seated or.
.
.
Perhaps you're lying down.
Just really feel into the space that you are being in.
Present in.
Really connect with thee.
The surface beneath you.
Feel your skin you.
The edge of your body.
Red meets the.
.
.
Physical space beneath you and just connect with that sense of being present.
Being rested in that space.
When you're ready I'd like you to take a really deep breath in.
In through your nostrils.
Down deep into your belly.
I'm gonna do that again,
Four times.
Into the nostrils,
Holding.
Just a little bit at the top.
And then pushing it deep down into our belly so that we can feel our belly inflate a little bit like a balloon.
So I invite you to do that with me now and inhale.
And then push the breath down.
Feel the belly inflate somewhat.
I feel that air carrying the oxygen.
Parts of your body that haven't been oxygenated recently.
We're going to do it again,
Deep breath in.
Home.
Out through the mouth.
And again,
And again.
Hold.
Down deep into the belly.
And one more time.
Inhale.
Hold.
And down deep into the belly.
And then just feel as that oxygen.
Makes its way to your bloodstream.
I just want you to intentionally visualize for a moment that beautifully oxygenated blood sort of just really traveling faster and more excitedly than usual.
To all the bits of your body that Maybe just need a little bit of extra reinvigoration today.
Little bit of extra oxygenation.
To get them.
To get them raring to go,
To get them.
Flared up with.
Extra zing and energy.
It's remarkable how.
.
.
Sometimes we can go through.
Large swathes of time not really breathing deeply.
I've been doing a lot of running recently and sometimes I.
.
.
I'll be running and I'll think,
When did I last breathe?
When did I last really take a deep breath?
Breathing is something that we have.
We do it unconsciously,
Obviously,
To stay alive.
There's something so reinvigorating about it.
Consciously.
Deciding.
To breathe and to.
.
.
To be really intentional about it and to.
.
.
It's almost as though we can go for hours holding our breath or just breathing really shallow.
When we do take that.
Deep,
Conscious inhale of air.
Of breath and push it down.
Consciously to areas of our body that are not present.
Are not getting the flow.
Usual flow.
It's like,
It's like just giving our system a drink.
You know,
Rehydrating.
Rehydrating our blood.
And.
.
.
I just find it to be very energising.
Just want you to really feel into your body now that it's been Beautifully energised with intentional inhalation of air.
Just feel into your space,
Feel into your.
.
.
Physical being you.
The soul buddy.
A space that houses your soul.
He felt into that for a while.
Sometimes we can walk around for days just.
.
.
Not really connecting with our bodies,
Not really feeling.
That our soul is plugged in and connected to our body.
A bit like forgetting to take a breath.
Intentionally.
And I just invite you to really.
.
.
I just really enjoy being.
I just really enjoy being here.
Connected to your flesh.
What can you feel in your body today?
Are there any niggles?
Any aches or pains?
Maybe you feel amazing,
Maybe you feel really supple and.
.
.
Fresh and just.
.
.
Well stretched,
Well slept.
I hope that's the case.
I hope that's for you.
I hope that's how you feel today.
But however well we care for ourselves and look after ourselves.
I know sometimes we.
.
.
We just need to stop and remember.
Take a little extra time just to.
.
.
We connect.
I've been very busy recently running around.
Doing lots of running,
But also just running around.
Life's been really beautiful and full and.
.
.
Overflowing with.
Exciting experiences and interesting people and connections.
Sometimes when you're rushing around enjoying the world and reaping the benefits of having invested in your health and your well-being for a long time.
It's easy to.
Just forget.
That the thing that gets us to the place in life where we can really enjoy and reap the benefits of being human in this.
University.
That often it's daily practices that we've done.
For a long time that have got us to the place where we are.
Have the privilege of.
Reaping the benefits.
Sometimes it's easy to.
Forget that those daily practices are what?
Creates a foundation for.
For success,
For joy.
So I just invite you.
I'm me.
To come back to that really,
Really basic and simple.
Practice of just.
.
.
Taking time to connect.
Recentering.
Breathing deeply.
Intentionally.
Feeding oxygen to all the extremities in our body.
Noticing what's going on in our physical bodies.
Intentionally.
Shifting our focus from Headspace.
Into body space.
Noticing where you think our source center might be?
We're not sure,
Just looking for it.
Gently searching around.
Thinking about where that source center might be.
Resting within your soul.
To me.
My soul center.
You know,
Sometimes it shifts,
Sometimes it's here.
I can feel it kind of rising through my body into my heart.
But I think where it's deeply seated,
Where it rests when I'm not.
Going through flows of emotion or responding to you.
Things that to trigger my source energy when it's just resting,
It's down here.
It's resting in the nest of my sacrum.
That's where it feels.
Peace and just.
.
.
Where it's cradled.
And then depending on what's happening in the world,
Depending on what stimulus is.
Is around,
You know,
It kind of.
.
.
It's triggered into moving around my body.
Responding to different centres.
Quite often it leaps into my heart centre.
And I can feel.
I can feel that source transmuting into different emotions and different waves of.
.
.
Creative source.
Sometimes that's tears of.
.
.
Joy,
Sadness.
This kind of electricity of connection that we have.
Comes from within.
So.
.
.
Strong and so driven that it needs to go somewhere.
More often than not,
It comes up through me and out.
Either through words or tears,
Facial expressions.
My experience is that Often I need to write.
Or go for a run or a walk,
Hike.
To transmute our energy.
So let it be then.
That wants to move.
Once it's fired up.
And sometimes that soul energy is just very happy resting.
I'm very happy just hanging out,
Peacefully cradled in my sacrum.
Zen.
I'm good today.
Let's chill.
No need to transmute too much today,
Lucy.
So I just invite you to really think about where your soul energy is hanging out,
Where's your soul center and your body today.
What's it doing?
And it's absolutely perfect,
Whatever it's doing right now.
The goal of today's meditation.
The reason is a goal.
Kind of a bit over goals at the moment.
Is just to think.
About being back in our bodies.
About reconnecting.
About taking time to just.
.
.
Remember that.
Power.
Intentionally taking time out to reconnect and meditate.
To fuel ourselves up.
Just that little bit,
That kind of compound interest of depository,
You know.
Inner peace banks.
No,
It might not seem like much.
10,
15,
20 minutes of meditation.
When you do it regularly.
Over time.
It's um.
.
.
It's pretty.
Powerful how it can be.
Compound creates.
A solid,
Solid grounding of fear.
Peace,
Tethered peace.
Tethered piece.
Cradled peace.
Safe nesting for your soul energy.
So that when your soul energy is required for other things,
It's been rested in peace for long enough that it can.
.
.
Engage,
Fire up,
Crack into gear.
And be used.
Powerfully.
For goods.
For going out there,
For creating,
For manifesting.
And loving.
The caring.
A managing conflict form.
Inspiring others,
For connecting others.
Bringing peace to others who maybe haven't rested there.
Soul energy enough for a while.
So I just invite you to remember that.
Taking time to reconnect with yourself,
With your body,
With your soul,
With your breath.
It's not indulgent,
It's not a waste of time.
It's that base level of.
.
.
Practice that base level of recurrence.
Good practice that gives you a foundation.
Foundation for being strong in the world.
A foundation for being able to really,
Really.
.
.
Enjoy.
Your physical body.
And bringing your soul energy out through your physical body into the wider world.
I just invite you to.
Come back to your center.
Breathe deeply,
Hold it at the top.
Push your energy down into your belly.
Down into your soul center.
Stroking that soul centre.
Resting that salt centre,
Connecting with that salt centre.
I hope that feels rejuvenating for you.
I hope you feel connected.
I hope you feel.
On some level energized,
Ready to take this tethered,
Peaceful sense of centeredness out into the world.
Take one more deep breath together and hold at the top and push down into our bellies.
Inhale.
I'd like to draw this meditation to a close with a prayer that is dear to me.
Take care.
Where will you have me go?
What will you have me do?
What will you have me say?
And to whom.
Amen.
And so it is.
