Music Sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes and adjust the body to ensure the most restful position possible.
Feel your spine lengthen and allow your shoulders to relax away from the ears.
Allow your face to soften.
Maybe your mouth opens,
The teeth separate and the tongue falls away from the roof of the mouth.
Notice the place between your eyebrows begin to relax more deeply.
Allow any tension to drift away from the center of the forehead.
Tune in to the rhythm of your breath,
Observing the belly and chest rise and fall.
Feel as the breath moves consciously from the base of the belly through the entire torso.
Your chest and heart opening more fully with each inhale.
Observe that your body and mind are calm yet aware,
At ease yet conscious of what is.
Visualize a soft light entering your body from the tip of your toes.
Watch as your toes embody a warm and nurturing glow.
On your next breath,
Allow that glow to flow into your feet.
Pause and breathe.
Inhaling,
Light pours into your calves,
Knees and thighs.
Notice your legs begin to glow.
On your next breath,
Invite that light to enter your hips,
Belly,
Chest and shoulders.
Feel it flow down your back body all the way to the sacrum.
Observe as your glow permeates your entire torso.
Breathing in,
Light travels from the shoulders down the upper arms,
Elbows,
Forearms and hands until it reaches the edge of your fingers.
From the center of your chest,
From your heart,
Allow that light to flow into your neck and throat through each part of your face all the way to the crown of the head.
Perhaps the smile that resides inside of you finds its way to your face.
Feel as the entire body glows with protective and loving light.
As you rest in this blanketing light,
Breathing consciously,
Introduce the mantra,
Ravaye Hum.
Which means,
I am the radiance of supreme light,
Ravaye Hum.
Radiate your light,
Repeating your mantra,
Shining from the depths of your being,
Ravaye Hum.
In complete self-awareness,
Rest with your breath,
With your light and with your mantra for the remainder of your meditation.
Allow each to anchor you to the present moment.
I am the radiance of supreme light,
Ravaye Hum.
Be with your breath,
Be with your light,
Be here now.
