Welcome.
I am so glad you're here.
My name is Kelly and this meditation is to help you reset.
I imagine you're listening to this because something happened that threw you off balance,
De-centered you,
Or pushed you out of alignment with your true self.
Maybe someone said something hurtful,
Or you watched something upsetting,
Or maybe you lashed out at another person.
And now you feel that tension emotionally,
Mentally,
And spiritually.
In this meditation,
You'll be guided back into alignment with your true nature,
Which is calm,
Connected,
And compassionate.
So find a comfortable seat and gently close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths and settle in.
Notice what is present in this moment.
Perhaps there is some emotional disturbance.
Simply observe it.
Does this emotion have a name,
Like sadness,
Anger,
Frustration,
Or perhaps fear?
It can be helpful to label our emotion.
Pay attention internally to where this emotion is felt in your body.
Is there tightness in your chest or a fluttering in your belly?
Maybe you notice a clenching in your jaw or some heat in your forehead.
You're not creating a story about what you're observing,
Or judging it good or bad,
You're simply witnessing in this present moment,
Like a scientist taking in data.
That's it.
Now begin taking some deep inhales and exhales.
And as you inhale through your nose,
Imagine drawing that breath in,
Reaching every part of your body as far down as your toes.
Then hold your breath for just a moment at the top of your inhale,
And imagine you're floating,
Suspended in time.
And now let that breath go out the mouth with a sigh.
And as you exhale,
Feel your body soften and relax.
Let's do that again two more times.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling up your body with your breath all the way down to your toes.
Hold for a count of three as you float and let it go.
Big sigh out the mouth.
Everything softens and relaxes.
One more deep,
Deep inhale.
Hold and float like a leaf released from a tree gently floating towards earth.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Now breathing in and out through the nose,
Full,
Deep inhales,
Long,
Slow exhales,
Riding the wave of your breath.
In and out.
Rise and fall.
Gather and release.
Nothing is missing from this moment.
Right now,
You have everything you need.
The breath is medicine,
A reminder of the life force energy flowing through you.
And sometimes that energy gets stagnant.
We need to refresh and renew.
It's like opening the windows on a sunny spring day to welcome in fresh air.
Open those windows in your mind and draw in fresh air with each inhale and release stagnant,
Stale air on the exhale.
As we begin to close this time together,
I invite you to pause with gratitude toward yourself for taking the time to reset and return to your true self.
You are so precious and you are so loved.
When you're ready,
You may open your eyes.
Maybe take a little stretch in any way that feels good to your body.
Thank you for spending this time with me.
I hope to see you again.
Namaste.
