Welcome to Little Shop Meditations.
I'm your host Amy and today I'm going to guide you through a five-minute meditation to help you release any energetic blocks and just shift your mood so you can get out of your own way today.
These meditations may be played at any point throughout your day and they are to be used as an added tool to add to your daily self-care toolbox.
They are not meant to replace any medical care or any other of your daily wellness needs.
Take a moment to get comfortable,
Whether that's sitting at your desk,
Laying down on a yoga mat,
Or just sitting comfortably where you are in this moment.
Take a deep inhale in and release any added pressures you have on yourself today and even any expectations you have for this meditation.
Let it all go.
For the next few moments I'm gonna hold space for you to be here in this moment and that is all you have to do at this time.
You do not have to be anywhere else.
You don't have to check your phone or answer any calls.
You are allowed to take these five minutes for you and only you.
Anytime your mind shifts or your thoughts start racing,
Just come back to my voice.
Come back to the sounds of the room around you.
Feel your skin in contact with the ground.
It is completely normal if your mind wants to go in other directions.
I'll be here to bring you back.
Think of any unwanted thoughts as clouds passing by.
You can acknowledge them and you let them go easily.
To help you shift your mood today,
I want you to think of three things that you're able to feel gratitude towards.
That can be anything from having a morning coffee speaking to a loved one,
Creating something amazing.
They can be as big or as small as you wish.
And if you absolutely can't think of anything to be grateful for,
That's okay too.
I'm grateful for you being here and for you taking this time to make a positive impact on your day.
Take another deep breath in and release any negative thoughts you're having,
Any added pressure you're putting on yourself today,
And any expectations that are causing you anxiety,
Let it all go.
Even if it's just for one moment and one breath,
I want you to tap into the peace of stillness today.
For the next few moments,
I'll be holding space for you here in silence and I will let you know when our time is up.
Anytime your mind drifts,
Don't judge it.
Come back to where you are.
Come back to the sounds in the room.
Feel the air on your skin.
You can begin to wiggle your fingers,
Roll your shoulders,
Release any tension that is lingering.
One last time with me,
Take a deep inhale.
You can stretch your arms up and let it all go.
