Welcome to Little Shop Meditations.
I'm your host Amy and today I'm going to guide you through a meditation designed to help you heal your heart from a recent separation or breakup.
Maybe you decided to click on this because you felt some old wounds needed cleansing in order to make room for the next steps of your life.
Whatever your reasons are,
Feel free to use this meditation at any time and use it as often as you need.
I find meditating right before bed can be especially healing when life feels like it makes no sense.
Meditating is also a great way to start a new routine in this new life that will begin to show new possibilities soon.
But you don't have to be there just yet.
You don't have to be ready for anything at all right now.
Go easy on yourself and take this day by day.
Meditating is like going to the gym.
You have to make it part of your regular daily routine in order to start feeling the results.
Whatever you're able to make time for,
A little bit every single day will add up.
It's cliche and I know nobody wants to hear this when they're heartbroken.
It can feel like the pain is never gonna go away.
Trust me,
I know.
But time helps to heal all wounds.
Sometimes painful emotions or memories never do completely go away.
But meditating is a great tool to help you deal with them day to day and to release any energies that feel stuck whenever they arise.
Whenever my heart has felt broken,
Either through an unexpected shift in my life or relationships,
Through a loss or separation,
I felt very real,
Very physical,
Painful side effects.
Body aches and pains,
Loss of appetite,
Loss of sleep,
Confusion,
Waves of emotions can all be part of this experience.
Wherever you're at,
I'm going to just be here with you and not trying to change anything at all.
Just as an aid to help you be where you are completely.
I welcome you to be present with me for this meditation as much as you're able.
Breathe it out,
Cry it out,
Whatever you need to do.
Take a moment to get comfortable.
Lay on a yoga mat on the floor or on your bed before falling asleep.
It's also completely fine to fall asleep during meditations because the message will still be within your subconscious and oftentimes sleep is the magical cure during these rough days or weeks.
I'm going to guide you through a heart healing visualization to help you to feel a little more grounded and to maybe help you get a little bit of sleep during this time.
To help balance your heart chakra even just the tiniest bit.
Don't worry about making any huge changes or expecting any feelings to go away.
There is no time limit or guidelines for healing.
You do things on your own time.
Only you know the situation and as much as family and friends may try to help it can feel like pressure sometimes with other opinions or emotions attached.
Sometimes you just need someone to hold space for you to feel through the pain,
For you to deal with it in your own way and move forward at your own pace.
I find putting pressure on the heart chakra area can be especially healing.
I see it as almost putting a bandage on an open wound.
It sort of brings attention to the area and it can feel really comforting.
I invite you to put one or both of your hands there at this time over your heart and breathe in and exhale out through your heart area.
Take a deep inhale in and exhale completely.
Let's do this three more times and I'll let you do these at your own pace.
I want you to be reminded that you are in control and that you are whole as you are on your own here.
Even if it's just one small thing I want you to be reminded that breathing is one thing you can control in this moment.
This isn't about anyone else.
This time it's just for you to be here with you.
You can begin to visualize a pale green or pink light flowing in and out of the heart chakra area.
Allow this light to feel warm,
Comforting,
Healing,
And cleansing you of anything you no longer need.
With every breath in you're able to feel more grounded and more at peace.
And with every exhale you're able to let go of any negative energy,
Any thoughts you don't need today,
And anything that feels stuck.
Allow your muscles to relax more and more,
Letting your bones completely rest,
Relaxing your jaw,
And with every exhale sinking deeper and deeper into the ground.
You are fully supported and safe in this moment.
Allow the light to effortlessly flow in and out of your heart chakra.
Allow the light to effortlessly flow in and out of your heart chakra,
Naturally healing and cleansing you with ease.
I'm going to give you a few moments here.
And anytime your mind drifts just come back to that light flowing in and out.
If your mind is drifting,
You can invite in a mantra,
You can say these out loud or just keep them within yourself,
Or repeat them after me.
I am loved.
I am whole.
I am safe.
And I am grounded.
You can visualize roots beginning to grow beneath you,
Connecting you to the earth.
You are grounded into the earth,
And the light is flowing through your heart at the same time.
Allow the earth to nurture you,
Heal any wounds,
And the light to bring comfort and warmth to you.
Your roots go deeper and deeper into the center of the earth,
Connecting you,
Rooting you within yourself.
And your heart begins to feel lighter and lighter.
If you're wanting to fall asleep,
Go ahead and release this visualization now,
And allow yourself to completely rest.
Otherwise you can start wiggling your fingers and toes,
Coming back into your body,
Letting your eyes gently open if they've been closed,
Rolling your shoulders,
Releasing any tension.
I hope that this meditation has made your heart feel even the tiniest bit lighter,
And I invite you to use this meditation every day for a week.
