Take the first 30 seconds to do absolutely nothing.
No practice,
No meditation,
No adjusting the posture.
Simply stay with me and give yourself a break.
Remind yourself that you don't have anything to do but sit.
And as you do this,
Thoughts will arise,
You'll get ideas,
And so be it.
Now,
During this practice,
I will invite you to not engage with the mind.
And the mind will tell you a lot of things.
It will remind you what you should be worried about,
What you should improve in your life and in yourself.
What's gone wrong today,
The day before,
In your life?
It may even tell you that you found the solution to your problem,
To all of your problems even,
That tomorrow will be better.
And it's fine,
Let it do all of that.
And kindly,
Simply,
Do not engage with it.
You may notice that your mind will want plenty of things.
It will want comfort.
It will want procrastination.
It will want grandness.
Perhaps it will want to scroll on the phone.
It will want you to be very anxious,
And for you to be calm all at once.
So what to do,
What to want?
None of it.
Allow your mind to try and play its antics on you.
That's what it does.
Let it be childish and analytical and contradictory.
And remind yourself that you don't have to do anything about it.
Do not engage with it.
Do not engage with it at all.
You are free to feel your body and to free yourself from any obligation and any agenda you put on yourself for every minute that passes.
You're free from your mind's antics.
And sure,
You may forget,
And you may get trapped in your brain's imagination.
But in imaginary adventures and worst-case scenarios,
You'll forget and so be it.
You don't have to engage into anything.
You can just come back to doing nothing and keep it simple.
Very,
Very simple.
How you feel right now,
As this meditation comes to an end,
It's not a proof of anything.
It doesn't mean anything.
It's not something to cling on to.
It's simply how you feel right now.
You can let it go.
And leave space for something simple,
Something wise.
