Good morning,
Beautiful one.
Whether you are listening to this as you go about your day,
Or you are sitting down or lying down,
It is just beautiful and perfect.
Let your body do what it wants to do.
I'm just so glad to be accompanying you and here to support you in honoring your body.
So whether you're walking,
Or you are moving and grooving,
Or you are lying down or seated,
Take a few breaths in and out.
Feel the aliveness of the breath moving through you,
This gift of the breath.
And if it's safe to do so,
You could soften or close your eyes.
And let yourself land in this moment in your body.
Collect your attention.
Collect all those thoughts and bring them right into this moment of noticing and being in your body.
I know that for so many of us,
We have had different kinds of relationships with our body over time.
Some of us have been at peace with our bodies at times.
Some of us have been at war.
Sometimes we've loved our bodies and cherished it and treated it well.
And sometimes we haven't.
I know that your body has carried so much.
Aches,
Tired mornings,
Maybe stretch marks and scars.
It's known the experience of worry,
Sadness.
I'm sure there's times that it has disappointed you.
It has also experienced the joy of laughter,
The gentle touch of someone you love.
Your body holds stories.
Some,
Of course,
Are tender.
Some are painful.
Every wrinkle,
Every line,
Every curve is a map of where you have been.
And still,
No matter where you have been,
Your body rises each morning and it greets the day.
It still reaches for sunlight.
And it still longs to be touched with kindness and treated with love.
So here we are together,
Honoring the body for how it loves,
How it breathes,
How it continues to rise with you,
How it continues to be resilient.
Your body is your constant companion,
Deserving of gentleness,
Gratitude,
And love.
No matter the relationship that you've had with your body,
You are now here in this moment.
And then may this then be a moment of soft honoring,
A bow to your resiliency.
You have carried so much.
Your body has carried so much.
And now let yourself and your body be carried by grace.
Let's bless the body together.
So what I like to do is to take my hands,
The palms of my hands,
Rub them together to create heat.
And then starting at the crown of the head,
Let your hands cascade down over your whole body,
Gently and slowly,
Like a waterfall of blessing.
Moving however you'd like to,
However your hands are guided to do.
Pausing where your body asks you to linger.
Over different parts of the body,
You might whisper,
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And if there are parts of the body that are tender or that ache,
Give that part,
Give that space some love.
Let your hands rest there,
Sending love and kindness and warmth,
Forgiveness,
Grace.
And when that feels complete,
Let your hands gently rest in your lap,
One hand cupping the other.
And then sense your whole body as a field of blessing.
Alive,
Resilient,
And worthy.
Today,
I celebrate you for honoring your body,
For connecting to your body,
And having the desire to love your body,
How it is,
Where it is now,
With all that you've been through together.
And I pray then,
That you give yourself some space and grace.
Space and grace.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
