Hi,
Thank you so much for being here.
I appreciate you taking the time.
To be with me today.
Today I want to talk about something that I think we all need at different times in our lives.
Learning to trust ourselves.
You know,
Sometimes we look inside ourselves for reassurance.
You know,
We might ask ourselves,
Hmm,
Am I making the right decision?
Have you ever asked yourself that question?
What will other people think?
Once I make this decision.
Should I really do this?
Can I handle this?
And of course,
There is nothing wrong with asking for advice or asking for support when we're not sure of what we want to do.
But there is something really,
Really powerful about knowing that at the end of the day.
You can come back.
To yourself.
You can listen.
To yourself.
You can make a decision.
And you could trust yourself to handle whatever comes next.
So for many of us,
That kind of trust.
Doesn't happen overnight.
Maybe we've made decisions that we've regretted.
I know that I have.
Maybe we've ignored our instincts.
I know I used to do a lot of that.
And maybe we spent years putting other people's needs first,
Or maybe we've simply become just accustomed to second-guessing ourselves.
But trust can be rebuilt.
This is an important thing to keep in mind.
And I think it begins with,
You know,
Some really,
Really small things.
It begins by listening.
To those little signals inside of us.
You know,
So maybe you're tired and instead of pushing through,
You allow yourself to rest.
And maybe something doesn't feel right,
And instead of dismissing that feeling,
You pause and you Pay attention.
Maybe you want to try something new and instead of immediately telling yourself that you can't.
Or why you can't.
You become curious about it.
So these small moments.
Matter.
They really,
Really do.
Because every time you listen to yourself and you respond with care,
You send yourself a very clear message.
I can count on me.
Of course,
That doesn't mean that you'll always make the perfect decision.
Au contraire,
As I say in French.
You won't.
You won't make perfect decisions.
None of us do.
But building that inner trust.
Is mostly about knowing.
What to do.
It's not always knowing what to do,
But it's about knowing what to do.
It's knowing that even when you make a mistake,
You won't abandon yourself.
You'll learn.
From that mistake.
You'll adjust.
You'll adjust what you're doing the next time.
You'll ask for help.
When you need it.
Right?
And you'll keep going.
So I'd like you to just take a moment now with me.
And if you're comfortable,
Please close your eyes as well.
You can keep them open if that's what you prefer.
Take a slow breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
And again,
Let's take another breath in.
And exhale.
Now imagine yourself coming home to you,
Coming home to yourself.
Not a physical place,
But you know that quiet place inside.
You feel.
Absolutely.
Perfect.
And you know you don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to make any decisions.
In this moment.
Just imagine yourself.
Sitting there with you.
Breathing.
And knowing.
I'm here.
For myself.
I'm here for you,
Linda.
Now take another deep breath in.
And quietly say to yourself,
I can listen to myself.
I can listen to myself.
I can trust myself to take the next step.
I trust myself to take the next step.
You don't need to know where the entire path leads.
You only need to trust yourself with the next step.
Tab.
Now take one more slow breath in.
And let it go.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
And remember.
Building that inner trust isn't something that's easy.
That we accomplish once.
It's something that we practice time and time and time again.
One choice,
One boundary at a time.
One honest conversation at a time.
One moment of listening.
To ourselves at a time.
And perhaps.
That's what coming home to yourself really means.
Knowing that.
Wherever life takes you.
You have you,
You have yourself.
To come back to.
That's what I want to leave you with.
You always have your self-care.
Thank you again for being here.
I'll see you the next time.
