Hello,
This is Linda G.
Robert.
Today,
We're going to take a quiet,
Heart-centered journey to connect with the child who is dear to you.
This meditation is a chance to feel the warmth of your love,
Even if you can't be in person right this minute.
Now,
Before we begin,
I do invite you to find a comfortable seat or to lie down somewhere you can fully relax.
Let your body feel supported and know that this is your time,
Your time to breathe,
Your time to connect,
And your time to nurture the love that you feel in your heart.
Now,
Close your eyes gently,
If you're comfortable in doing so,
And take a slow,
Deep breath in and slowly breathe out.
Let your shoulders drop and allow your breath to flow naturally,
To flow steady and to flow calmly.
Each inhale brings a sense of presence and each exhale releases any tension that you may feel.
Feel yourself arriving in this very moment,
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to be,
Just here,
Breathing gently.
Now,
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a warm and peaceful place.
Now,
This could be a cozy living room,
A garden,
A park,
Or even a sunny porch.
This is a place where you feel safe,
Where you feel at ease and where you feel full of love.
And in this space,
Bring to mind a child who is dear to you.
And this may be one of your grandchildren,
Or it may be another child you hold close in your heart,
Perhaps a niece,
A nephew,
A godchild,
Or a friend's child.
What matters is that this is a child who feels safe and comfortable with you and who brings you joy.
Now,
Picture this child coming towards you.
See their smile and the light in their eyes.
Notice how their presence makes you feel and imagine the two of you sharing a gentle conversation.
Maybe they're telling you something about their day,
Maybe they're laughing away,
And maybe they're simply sitting quietly with you.
Allow yourself to savor this moment,
To savor this connection,
The warmth,
The bond,
And the love between you two.
Take a moment here to really be with them,
Breathing slowly,
Soaking in the sweetness of this time together.
That's right.
Breathing in this moment of love that you share as you hold this child in your heart.
Now,
As you hold this child in your heart,
We'll offer them words of love and of kindness.
Silently or softly in your mind,
Repeat these phrases as if you are speaking to them directly,
To the child that you're with.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you feel loved.
May you live your life with ease.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you feel loved.
May you live your life with ease.
Take your time with each phrase,
Letting the words fill your heart and flow toward the child that you're with.
May you be healthy.
May you be safe.
May you feel loved.
May you live your life with ease.
And repeat by yourself now.
I'll give you a minute.
And if you don't remember the phrases,
That's okay.
Say what you want to say with love and with care.
Now we're going to expand this circle of love to all of your grandchildren or to all children who are dear to you.
Picture them surrounded by a gentle light of love and protection.
May you all be healthy.
May you all be safe.
May you all feel loved.
May you all live your lives with ease.
May you all be healthy.
May you all be safe.
May you all feel loved.
May you all live your lives with ease.
May you all be healthy.
May you all be safe.
May you all feel loved.
May you all live your lives with ease.
And again,
I'm going to give you a minute to repeat these phrases or whichever phrase you feel comfortable in doing so.
And now allow this love to expand even further,
Reaching all children everywhere.
The children of the world.
May all children be healthy.
May all children be safe.
May all children feel loved.
May all children live their lives with ease.
May all children be healthy.
May all children be safe.
May all children feel loved.
May all children live their lives with ease.
May all children be healthy.
May all children be safe.
May all children feel loved.
May all children live their lives with ease.
And again,
On your own for one minute.
And now please take a slow breath in and a long,
Gentle breath out as we near the end of our meditation.
Bring your awareness back to your own body,
Feeling your chest rise and fall.
Notice the warmth in your heart,
The tenderness that remains.
Before we close,
Take a moment to silently thank the child or the children who visited you in your mind and in your heart.
Know that this love and connection is always there,
No matter the distance,
No matter the time apart.
Now gently bring your awareness back to the room around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you are ready,
Softly open your eyes and carry this love with you.
As you go about your day or your evening.
Thank you for being here with me today.
