Welcome,

Dear one.

I'm Leslie.

It is with great honor that I will be guiding us today through this meditation,

Calling on the Wind.

Go ahead and find a comfortable position,

Either seated or lying down.

And invite your body to rest,

To let go into the earth or the surface that's beneath you.

Relax your shoulders.

Allow the jaw to relax and open and soften the ears and your hearing.

Begin to close your eyes and gently bring your awareness inward.

Take a few slow and deep breaths.

Inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling softly through the mouth.

Letting each breath be a deeper invitation to ground you in the present moment.

Breathing in,

I am here.

Breathing out,

Letting go.

Feel the body expand with each inhalation.

And feel the release and letting go with each exhalation.

Now I invite you to imagine yourself standing in a vast open field.

It is a beautiful day.

The temperature is exactly the way you like it.

And you're surrounded by your favorite wildflowers.

You notice the colors.

They're vibrant.

Some of the flowers have soft petals.

And there's a fragrance in the air.

A sweetness.

This is your sacred space.

A place of mystery,

Beauty,

And peace.

Imagine yourself standing in that field and you begin to notice a breeze stirring in the air.

It begins as a gentle whisper and then it grows into a strong yet soft wind that sweeps across the wildflowers.

You watch as the flowers begin to dance in the breeze.

Their movements seemingly full of life,

Grace,

And even excitement.

You notice the way each flower sways with its own rhythm,

As if the wind has awakened something deep within them.

Take a nice full breath in.

Open your mouth and breathe out.

Now feel this same wind as it caresses your skin.

It's cool and refreshing.

Carrying with it a sense of freedom and renewal.

Let it playfully sweep through your hair,

Moving it in wild and even gentle waves.

Notice the way this feels.

Carefree,

Light,

And alive.

Perhaps this moment reminds you of being a child,

Standing in the wind with no worries,

Simply enjoying the moment and the sensations.

Take a moment to connect with your inner child,

The part of you that is free,

Curious,

And open.

Invite the wind to carry you back to that sense of innocence and joy.

Feel the carefree spirit of the wind,

Awakening that part of you,

Reminding you of the pure delight of simply being.

See yourself opening your arms wide,

Lifting them slightly,

And let your feet slide apart into the shape of a star,

Grounding you to the earth below,

While opening yourself to the sky,

The vast blue sky above.

Silently or softly in the mind,

Call on the wind.

Say to yourself,

I welcome you,

Wind.

I invite your cleansing energy to flow through me.

Feel the breeze deepen its embrace,

Swirling around you like an old friend.

Imagine it sweeping through your body,

Washing and carrying away heaviness,

Stagnant energy,

And anything that feels stuck.

Allow it to carry away judgments,

Gossip,

Or worries that no longer serve you.

See the breeze carrying all of these troubles,

Sorrows,

Or heaviness far,

Far away.

Now you begin to turn your back to the wind and feel it move through you from head to toe.

You see it cleansing not only your physical body,

But also your subtle bodies,

The mind,

Emotions,

And energy field.

Picture the wind lifting and scattering anything you're ready to release.

Take a deep breath in,

Breathing in the energy of the wind.

Keep the breath steady,

And with each breath,

Notice how much lighter you feel.

Breathe in the fresh,

Enlivening energy that the wind carries.

Imagine it filling your lungs,

Your heart,

And your entire being with healing and vitality.

Repeat silently or softly aloud,

I am free.

I am light.

I flow with love and ease like the wind.

I am free.

I am light.

I flow with love and ease like the wind.

Allow that to seep into the very marrow of the bones of your body and deep into your soul.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling yourself with a sense of freedom and flow,

And exhale out through your mouth,

Releasing any last bit of heaviness.

You notice the wind is beginning to settle,

And as it begins to settle,

Bring your hands gently to your heart or let them rest by your sides.

Feel gratitude rise within you for the gift of the wind,

For the way it enlivens,

Cleanses,

And nourishes not only you,

But the world around you.

Take one more deep inhalation,

And as you exhale,

Silently give thanks.

Thank you,

Wind,

For your medicine,

For your healing,

And for the freedom you bring.

When you feel ready,

Gently return to the present moment by wiggling your fingers and toes and opening the eyes.

Invite yourself to carry this lightness,

Playfulness,

And joy of the wind and of your inner child with you as you move through your day.

Thank you so much for all the ways that you share in this world and for your own journey.

With great gratitude,

I thank you.

Let it be.
