Welcome to this Yoga Nidra practice exploring Prana Vayu.
Prana can be understood as life force or vital energy.
While vayu means wind or movement.
Prana Vayu is the inward moving current.
The Energy of Receiving drawing in and nourishing ourselves through breath and life.
In this practice,
You will be invited to experience this inward flow through the body,
The breath and inner awareness.
Find a comfortable place to lie down.
Allow yourself to become still.
And let the practice begin.
So let's get ready for Yoga Nidra.
Lie down in a comfortable position.
Preferably in Shavasana,
Which is also known as the dead man's pose or the corpse pose.
Sleeping flat on your back.
Your legs plopped to the sides.
Your hands besides your body with your palms facing upward.
You can also do the practice sitting down.
With their back straight.
And your hands on your knees with your palms facing upward.
Gently close your eyes.
And keep them closed until I tell you to open them at the end of the practice.
Feel the weight of your body dropping into the surface that is supporting you.
Dropping into the ground beneath you.
Let the Earth support you.
Let the breath soften you.
Let the practice Hold you.
Become aware of the quiet around you.
And the quiet within you.
Allow yourself to be here.
Fully.
Completely.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Feel the natural rhythm of your breath.
Not changing it.
Simply noticing it.
The rise and fall.
The ebb and flow.
The Gentle Tide of Life.

And the soft one?
Of the exhale.
And begin to sense the inward flow of breath.
Not just as a but as Prana Vayu.
The subtle luminous current of energy that enters on the inhale and rises toward the heart.
With every inhalation.
Feel a soft drawing in.
As if the breath is carrying a gentle glow.
Up through the nose.
Into the forehead.
And down into the center of the chest.
Up through the nose,
Into the forehead.
And down into the center of the chest.
With every exhalation.
Feel a quiet release.
The body softening.
The heart becoming spacious,
Becoming receptive.
Let breath become more than a physical act.
Let it become a movement of energy.
Sense Prana Vayu as a subtle inward spiral.
A subtle inward spiral.
A warm golden light being drawn toward the heart.
Gathering in the chest like a small sunrise.
Inhale.
Drawing in Nadeshman.
Lie.
Clather team.
Exhale.
Melting Tension Softening Effort Letting go.
As you breathe,
Imagine the heart center widening gently.
As if the ribs were opening like petals of a flower.
Prana moves inward and upward.
Brightening the space behind the chest.
Illuminating the inner sky of the chest.
With a deep breath in.
SILENTLY THE BEAT On inhale.
I the sieve.
On Excel.
I soften.
Feel Prana Vayu awaken,
Not true force.
But through permission.
True Allowing.
Through the simple grace of breathing.
Let the breath become smoother.
Long ago.
Soft.
As if the Pranic Light is breathing for you.
Remain with this inner glow of the breath.
This quiet drawing in of the life force until the entire upper body feels luminous GOM Open.
Alive.
Stay for the moment with the gentle inward movement.
The Rising Current.
The soft nourishment of Prana Vayu.
And begin to imagine that inside your chest there is a quiet luminous space.
A soft radiance.
Warm and welcoming,
Resting at the center of your heart.
See it as a small sphere of light.
Gentle.
Golden.
Almost like the first.
Glow of dawn.
With each inhale,
This sphere becomes brighter.
As if the breath is feeding it.
As if Prana Vayu,
The inward moving current,
Is drawing subtle energy into this center.
With each exhale,
The light relaxes.
Spreading a calm warmth through the chest.
Now imagine that all around your heart There are invisible pathways.
Delegate channels of energy.
The nadis,
Like strands of shimmering silver.
With every inhale the light in the heart slightly expands.
Sending a soft glow into these pathways.
Awakening them.
Illuminating them.
Inviting them to open.
Feel this gentle pranic movement.
As if the heart were breathing through every direction.
Now visualize Prana Vayu as a luminous flow of air.
A glowing stream rising inward from the base of the nostrils.
Spiralling upward through the space between the eyebrows.
And gently descending into the heart.
Rising upward from the base of the nostrils.
Spiralling upward through the space between the eyebrows.
And gently descending into the heart like a slow Graceful current of light.
Let this current Deepen its path.
Inhale.
Light Rising and entering the heart.
Exhale.
Light settling.
Softening Spreading.
As the Pranic Light gathers.
The heart begins to feel like a radiant sanctuary.
Steady.
Bright.
Alive.
And now imagine the chest becoming transparent.
As if made of clear luminous glass.
Inside The Pranic Light Grows Brighter.
With each quiet inward breath.
See this light rising upward.
Do the draw.
Into the center of the head.
Illuminating the space behind the eyes.
Feel the mind brighten.
Not with thought.
But with gladity like a sky just after sunrise.
Inhale.
And prana rises inward entering the heart nourishing you.
Exhale.
A soft wave of light flows outward.
Relaxing the shoulders,
The throat.
The face.
Now with the next few breaths sense prana vayu becoming almost magnetic.
Drawing in not just air but subtle nourishment.
Drawing in space,
Drawing in vitality.
Drawing in quiet joy.
Imagine the light at the heart.
Expanding until it touches the inner ribs.
Than the outer edges of the chest.
Than the skin.
Until the whole heart region feels like a warm lantern.
Glowing from within.
Sense this inward moving energy filling you with brightness.
With aliveness.
With a quiet certainty that you are supported.
You are noticed.
You are held by life.
Rest in this radiance for a few moments.
Letting the inward flow continue on its own.
Effortless.
Natural.
Alive.
Let this be the felt experience of Prana Vayu.
And bring to mind your Sankalpa,
Your dissolve,
Your intention.
The same one that you made at the beginning of the practice.
Repeat that same intention three times with complete feeling,
Emotion and awareness.
And begin to sense your breath again.
Just as it is.
Natural.
Solved.
