We make decisions every day,
Some small and some big.
And in this meditation we will move to five simple questions to create an awareness within us of the impact of the decision that we want to take.
So take a moment and think of a decision that you need to take.
This could be a decision about buying a car,
A new house,
Getting fit,
Choosing a school,
Taking a course or launching a business.
Bring up the decision into your mind's head.
And in the context of the decision you are planning to make or wish to make,
Reflect on the next five questions.
The first question,
How specifically will this decision affect me?
What impact will it have on me?
The second question,
How will this decision affect the other person or people who are involved in making this decision?
The third question,
How will this decision affect the people who are closest to the other person?
The fourth question,
What impact will this decision have on everyone else,
The community,
The society and even the world?
And finally,
The last question,
How will this decision affect those closest to me?
These are five questions you can ask yourself whenever you are planning to make a decision.
They will make you aware of the impact of the decision and will guide you towards making wise decisions which have the best interests of all involved.
