Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,
Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
Today I wanted to spotlight something that became so real to me over this weekend.
And it's a personal story,
But I think that there is a massive lesson in it for us all,
Right?
I had someone lay me low,
Just rip into me over something that was incorrect.
This person had a really wrong idea of a certain thing.
I'm not going to get into it because I'm trying to make it be about the lesson and not this situation,
Right?
But this situation,
It wasn't cracked.
It wasn't even real,
Right?
But this person laid me low for it,
Ripped me a new one,
Kind of,
Right?
And it's so interesting,
The reaction and all of that.
At first,
I could literally feel my vibration going down and down and down and down,
Right?
So at that point,
I was shocked and confused.
And then I felt kind of knocked over,
You know?
Because when somebody's ripping into you,
You go through emotions,
Right?
So I'm laying out to you what my emotional progression was,
Right?
So I felt kind of knocked over.
And then I got sad for myself.
And I'm just like,
Oh,
That's not going to fly for me,
Right?
And then,
And this all happened pretty fast,
Right?
And then I felt sad for this other person.
Lifting each other up is so important.
And that's what I strive to do,
Like a lot.
That's like my goal in life is to lift other people up by my words and actions as much as I can.
And I'm like,
Okay,
We all falter,
Please.
I mean,
Of course.
But I realized a couple of things.
I realized that this person was gaining power by laying into me something that they're lacking on the inside.
They needed to feel like they were,
You know,
That they had power over me.
And they thought that that was going to give them comfort,
I guess,
Right?
So interestingly,
Here's where I went with this in my head.
My goal,
Like I said,
Is to lift people up.
That's my goal.
So what,
You know,
We may,
Okay,
So here's the bottom line,
Not to get into the sadness and all of that,
How it made me feel,
Because that's an important part to know that it made me feel like crap,
To be honest,
Right?
But then I started thinking,
How lucky am I,
In terms of raising my vibration back up,
How lucky am I that I have these tools to know that my vibration is spiraling downward and to really understand myself enough to heal from that,
Right?
And to not take it personally,
Because this person was laying into me,
But it was really about them.
I mean,
That's agreement number two in the book,
The Four Agreements.
Don't take anything personally,
Right?
So once I started realizing that this situation was about that person not feeling their own personal power,
Right,
It was all about that person's personal power and not mine.
It had nothing to do with me,
Right?
So I thought,
Oh my gosh,
And then all of a sudden I could feel,
Because like I was saying before,
I could feel my vibration spiraling downward,
But now I'm like,
At that point,
I'm feeling my vibration going back up because I sat,
Like,
As I said,
I work really hard to keep my vibration up,
Right?
So here's the thing.
You are awesome.
If no one tells you that today,
No,
Please no,
From me to you.
You are an awesome human being and you are strong.
You are strong.
You're a strong and you're very powerful,
Very,
Very powerful.
Take that with you today,
Right?
So then of course,
I'm feeling pretty good.
Like I'm feeling better about things or whatever,
Right?
And I came across,
Cause then of course,
You know,
I'm looking for the lesson because that's kind of who I am always looking for the lesson.
What can I learn from this?
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
Right?
So the first quote that came into my head was this.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
And if you've never heard that before,
That's Eleanor Roosevelt.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Again,
And it's sort of the long of that lesson is that don't think,
Take things personally.
It has to be,
It's about them,
Right?
Second quote by Maya Angelou,
Who obviously,
I mean,
I should say obviously,
Cause not everybody knows who she is,
But I mean,
I just love this woman,
Right?
You may not control all the events that happen to you,
But you can decide not to be reduced by them.
Absolutely beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful.
Right?
And then the last quote that I found by Rumi,
Of course,
Right?
Your acts of kindness are iridescent wings of divine love,
Which linger and continue to uplift others long after your sharing.
So turning it all around acts of kindness.
When someone lays you low,
Turn it around and do an act of kindness to somebody else.
Because you are powerful.
You are.
You are powerful.
So we are going to meditate on this today,
Right?
So let's sit,
Let's get ourselves comfortable and just take,
This is our time,
Right?
Our individual time.
So I should say it,
Your time to sit by yourself and own your power.
You are awesome.
You are powerful.
So let's sit by ourselves,
Relax our bodies,
Close our eyes,
And let's start to think of just those few things that we are grateful for.
What are you grateful for today?
Today right here,
Right now.
There's so much,
So much to be grateful for,
Isn't there?
And if you're having a low day,
Find the gratitude.
Find just one or two things that bring you joy that you are grateful for.
And I guarantee you,
Things will start turning around.
So our mantra for today that we are going to repeat to ourselves over and over while we sit in the stillness just for a few minutes.
I am strong.
That is our mantra for today.
I am strong.
I am strong.
You can say it in any inflection that you choose in your mind while we sit in the stillness.
I am strong and it is infused with power and high vibrational energy.
So let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
So let's begin.
I will keep the time and let's begin.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
I am strong.
We can start bringing our awareness back to the room we are sitting in,
The chair we are sitting in.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release it.
Whenever you feel comfortable,
You can open your eyes.
I can't stop smiling because I know I am strong.
You are strong.
It's beautiful.
So I appreciate each and every one of you.
Thank you so much for being with me today.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
