
No Guilt…Only Freedom!

Why do we allow ourselves to feel guilt or regret? They are such wasteful emotions, don’t you think? My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
I did nothing yesterday.
Nothing.
I got out of bed.
Okay,
So I guess that's something and I had coffee and that's two things.
And that was it.
I watched TV,
I watched movies.
I did nothing.
And it was started out being divine,
Like divine to like take that time off,
Right?
However about halfway through the day,
I couldn't get motivated to like do anything.
And I think it had something to do with maybe the new moon,
That sort of thing.
But whatever,
Right?
I started feeling really guilty.
I went through this thing where I was like,
I feel so guilty that I'm not doing anything,
Right?
I mean,
It was ridiculous.
And the longer the day kept going on,
The more guilty I was feeling.
And I'm like,
You know what,
I need to get out of this because it would then it was making me because you know,
When you sit in something,
Especially like a lower vibration,
When you sit in something for too long,
It like starts depressing you and,
And you know,
You guys know I am not the type of person that sits down there,
Right?
I always trying to find a way to get my vibration back up,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah,
Right?
So at about,
I don't know,
Five o'clock,
I was like,
This is ridiculous,
Right?
I need to be okay with taking a day off.
Like what is wrong with taking a day off?
And then I was like,
You know what,
I need some reinforcements here.
Right?
So I get online and you know me,
I'm like always looking for an inspirational quote or something,
Right?
That may well,
It's gonna like lift me back up.
That's kind of how I roll.
So I found a quote by Wayne Dyer.
Okay,
And this is what it is.
Releasing guilt.
And isn't this like,
You know,
There are no accidents,
Right?
Okay,
So anyway,
Okay,
Let me read the quote.
Releasing guilt is like removing a huge weight from your shoulders.
Guilt is released through the empowering thought of love and respect for yourself.
That just blew my mind.
Okay,
Then it says,
Let go of standards of perfection and refuse to use up the precious currency of your life,
The now.
With thoughts that continue to frustrate and weaken you,
Instead vow to be better than you used to be,
Which is the true test of nobility.
I mean seriously.
It just,
You know,
You know when something just like hits you between the eyes?
Well,
That's what it did for me,
Right?
I was like,
I need to own this,
Right?
So anyway,
So what goes along with the guilt is I learned,
And I've probably learned this a million times,
But regret goes along with the guilt of that too.
We need to just like get over ourselves,
Right?
Get over ourselves.
Just like take it and just like,
It's okay.
Just know that it's okay to do whatever.
So I took a day off.
I took 24 hours,
Did nothing.
Maybe I needed it.
Maybe I need,
You know,
It doesn't really even matter what I needed or whatever,
But the reality is,
Is that get over it.
It's okay.
I'm allowed.
As a human being,
I can do whatever I want,
Right?
As human beings,
We can,
We can,
Like we should listen to our bodies.
Listen to spirit.
Spirit knew I needed to just stop because I've been going and going and going and going as we all do,
Right?
Been going and going and going for so long.
I needed,
I needed to stop.
And spirit knew that.
And so it was impressed upon me,
Just take the day and just do nothing,
Which I did.
Right.
But you know what?
I need to stop having the regret of that and the guilt.
Yeah.
Okay.
So there's stuff that needed to be done in the yard.
There's stuff that needed to be done around the house.
Floors need to be vacuumed.
Oh yeah.
Floors need to be vacuumed,
Right?
Right.
Like we all have that.
Get over it,
Follow your heart.
That is my big lesson.
And I hope that me learning this lesson can help you.
Right.
Follow your heart and your soul and spirit and go away from the guilt.
Like what is this the guilt thing?
Oh my gosh.
Like I'm like,
And I know that this is sort of lower frequency as well or lower vibration as well.
But you know,
Now I'm like sort of disgusted with myself that I even wasted all that precious time of,
Of relaxation and stuff.
Right.
Feeling guilty.
I mean,
So now I'm feeling guilty for feeling guilty.
You know,
It's stupid.
It's such a vicious cycle,
Isn't it?
It's a vicious cycle.
Get over it.
So what?
Live in the now.
Live in the now.
You know,
I mean there was so much we could,
We feel guilty about drinking too much,
Wasting time,
Not calling that person back.
I mean,
Come on.
We need to just get over it.
Just get over it.
That should be my theme for the day.
Just get over it.
But I'm going to do,
I'm going to change that around for the affirmation you'll see in a second.
Right.
It's fine to take a day and do nothing without feeling guilty.
So that's what we're meditating on today.
Are you surprised?
Okay,
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
And okay.
And let's sit comfortably,
However that feels for you,
Because that's how we roll.
All right,
So let's close our eyes,
Take a nice deep breath in.
Yes.
Breathe in through your nose and out your mouth.
So let's breathe in and release.
Oh,
That felt good,
Didn't it?
It's like releasing that guilt and regret,
Right?
Like comes out with the breath.
So let's do that again.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
So what are you grateful for today?
What is good in your life?
What are you grateful for?
Right?
Let's raise that vibration and start to understand that there are some seriously amazing things in our lives.

What brings you joy?
It can be anything from that cup of coffee to the flowers outside to being able to hug your kids,
Grandkids,
Whatever.
Very good.
So as we get ready to sit in the stillness,
Today's affirmation slash mantra is this.

Whenever I use that as a mantra or an affirmation,
It's just,
It absolutely takes me to that level of it's like motivating.
Like I can do anything.
Right.
So take that on today.
Take on freedom.
