Yes, there is quite a bit to know about manifesting everything you’d love in your life. The process can be challenging but so fulfilling! Today in our ongoing series on MANIFESTATION, we focus on the practice of changing our thoughts! Hello and welcome to the Spirit Rooms podcast,

In the Flow of Lori Albert,

Where we talk about spirituality,

Manifestation,

And how to create and live our best lives.

Welcome in.

And hello everybody.

Okay.

So finally,

Today in our series on manifesting your life,

We are going to just get into it.

Finally.

Okay.

So,

So far,

We've talked about the sort of commitment that you need to kind of make when you decide you want to manifest your life and stuff,

Right?

And then we discuss the energy aspect to manifesting and the fact that like energy attracts like energy.

Okay.

But today is going to be about an aspect to manifesting that we don't exactly consider that often.

It's not something that's focused on because I feel like that it's kind of the quote unquote,

Hard part,

You know?

I mean,

It's not really that hard,

But it's work and there's work involved.

That's just it.

And I think that a lot of people that teach manifesting kind of skim over this,

But it's very important.

So here it is.

This is it.

In order to truly begin to actually manifest everything you want in your life,

From parking spaces to cars,

To your dream career,

To love,

Or simply just total satisfaction and happiness in your life,

You must change your thoughts and your thought patterns.

Yeah.

So let me let that sink in for a minute.

Okay.

We must change our thoughts and our thought patterns.

Okay.

We have to teach ourselves,

Ourselves,

I guess I should say,

To change the way we think.

Now as that sinks in,

You may start to think to yourself,

What now?

What do my thoughts have really that much to do with manifesting?

But here's the thing.

What did you just think to yourself?

Okay.

Did you think she's crazy?

She has no idea what she's talking about.

Did you think,

Oh wow,

That's a really interesting point.

Or did you think,

Oh,

I am so ready to start that,

To do this.

Let's just start.

I'm in.

Whatever it is that you thought to yourself,

That is the little voice inside your head.

And that is the voice that we need to work on.

Pretty interesting,

Don't you think?

It's really actually cool.

If you've never thought of it this way,

It's really kind of cool.

So you know that little voice in your head that says,

You look in the mirror and you go,

Oh God,

Do I look fat in that outfit?

Or you look at yourself and go,

Oh my God,

My hair looks so good today.

Or why did I just say that out loud?

Or I can tell that she does not like me.

We've all had these thoughts.

But they're also thoughts of,

She looks really not so great in that outfit.

Or her hair looks so great today.

So it's about looking at yourself and it's about looking at other people.

And here it is.

That is our judgy little voice.

We judge ourselves and we judge others all the time.

That's just who we are as humans.

That is our little voice.

And that is what we need to work on in order to manifest total happiness and fulfillment and absolute joy in our lives.

So do you see where I'm going with this?

So now if I haven't totally freaked you out just yet,

There's more.

So guess what?

It's human.

It's natural to judge yourself and others.

And we are truly never going to stop that.

And you know what?

That's okay.

Stop beating ourselves,

We need to stop beating ourselves up about it.

As we go through our lives,

We begin to realize that we all do it all the time.

We judge ourselves,

We judge others all the time.

Now manifesting comes into play in this equation in this way.

When we learn to catch ourselves in those less than happy moments,

Let's say,

And shift those thoughts to more positive,

More joyful thoughts,

This is when manifestation and all of the great things that you want to manifest can begin.

Okay,

So one little thing here.

I want you to realize,

However,

That you actually already are manifesting everything in your life right now.

How does that sit?

Manifestation isn't necessarily just about having all those great things and being positive.

All those fun things that you want.

Based on your thoughts,

You actually manifest the icky things too.

Okay,

So think about it.

If you're wanting to manifest good stuff like a new car,

New job,

Consider this.

Maybe you have already manifested the car that you have right now.

Right?

When you sit in thoughts of,

I really want that beautiful new BMW,

But I guess the compact car is good enough.

I don't really deserve the BMW,

But I do really want it.

Right?

Now look at the back and forth of what I just said.

I want the car.

The small one's good enough.

I don't deserve the car,

But I want it.

Right?

There's such back and forth that we do that all the time.

See I told you I was going to be real with you guys and that right there was just it.

Okay,

It's really important to understand that we manifest the good stuff and the not so good stuff.

We manifest everything.

And remember when I mentioned earlier about how instant manifestation isn't really possible.

It's not really a thing.

This is why.

Because we have that back and forth.

Okay,

So now we've covered how this whole thing really works.

I want us to do a quick little exercise.

Okay,

All right now.

Get yourself comfortable.

Close your eyes.

This isn't a meditation.

Okay,

But I want you to close your eyes.

I'm going to stop talking.

Okay,

And I want you to just allow whatever comes into your mind to come in and pay attention to your thoughts.

Okay,

Now I want you to try to rid the thoughts from your mind.

Okay,

Try your best just to have a blank mind.

This is what they're going to be looking for.

Okay,

You can come back to the present moment and open your eyes.

How did it go?

Okay,

So that sounded like an evil laugh.

I apologize for that.

But here's the thing.

What did it feel like to you?

Did you have success?

Did it feel like the longest time ever?

Where did your thoughts go when I first asked you to just allow anything come to your mind?

Did you think to yourself,

Why is she making us do this?

Or what am I supposed to do again?

Or wow,

I forgot to go to the grocery store yesterday.

You just allow any thought that comes into your mind,

Right?

But you pay attention to those thoughts,

Right?

And then here's my next question.

When I asked you to clear your mind,

What happened then?

That was a little bit more tricky,

I think.

Were you able to actually clear your mind?

Or did you start to think,

I've got this,

I meditate?

Or you may have thought,

Why is she making us do this again?

What does this have to do with me manifesting my new car?

Or any of the above or all of the above or none of the above,

Right?

So okay,

What was cool about this exercise is two things.

One,

You started to pay attention to your thoughts,

Okay?

Regardless of what they were,

It doesn't matter what your thoughts were,

Okay?

And number two,

You actually started to recognize the types of thoughts that you have.

So here is my exercise for you until our next session,

Okay?

I want you to pay attention to your thoughts,

Okay?

Now you can make mental notes,

You can make physical notes of where your thoughts go on an ongoing basis.

Paying attention to your thoughts and your thought patterns,

Okay?

And you could try to pay attention to what sets you off down a certain road of thoughts,

Right?

So someone cuts you off in traffic.

And where does your mind go?

Do you notice that when somebody cuts you off in traffic that your mind goes xyz to this place or that place,

Okay?

Now,

This is important because until we recognize where we need to shift our thoughts,

We can't exactly understand what we as individuals need to do to truly manifest the amazing things in our lives.

Right now,

It's about recognizing and we're taking this very slowly,

You know,

Because again,

I don't believe in the think happy thoughts for 20 minutes and you'll make a million dollars.

I don't believe in that.

And if it works for you,

More power to you.

But in my experience,

That's not how it works,

Right?

So take a mental note or physical notes about where your thoughts go at different times,

You know,

Just call attention to your thoughts.

Okay,

And then next time,

We're going to talk about how to actually shift those thoughts.

Yay,

And that's fun.

All right.

I told you,

This is a little bit of work,

But it's not horrible work.

It's just noticing and don't make yourself wrong in any thought that you have.

Don't make yourself wrong because this is right now,

We're just in the noticing phase.

Okay,

We're in the understanding where what our thoughts are,

Okay?

Do not make yourself wrong.

There is no wrong.

There is no right.

There just is.

I say that all the time.

Okay,
