Emotional Baggage? Can We Please Just Make It Stop?

It’s time to clear out that old baggage in our heads that we don’t want or need anymore. Today’s meditation focuses on inviting in pure, white light love energy. My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales. Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos.'

Welcome to In the Flow,

A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.

We will laugh,

Cry,

Meditate,

And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,

Meditation,

Prayer,

And the afterlife.

Let's get to it.

Have you been noticing this crazy,

Weird energy?

I know I've been talking about this the last couple of days,

But this all,

You know,

They told us around the time of the full moon and the eclipse that,

You know,

This old emotional baggage comes out and blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Rears its ugly head and everything.

And I'm just like,

Ah,

Come on.

Well,

I have to tell you,

Yesterday I was ready to just take a rocket ship to Mars and just stay there.

I mean,

It was like,

This is insane.

Oh my gosh.

All of these weird old emotions coming back up.

It's crazy.

So you know,

My only question to the whole thing is,

Actually it's not even a question.

It's just a,

It's a,

It's a statement to spirit in the universe and God,

Right?

Please just make it stop.

Just make it stop.

So that's what our goal is for today to,

Again,

Infuse ourselves with positivity.

Start out the day in a positive note,

Right?

So yes,

So what we're going to do right now is I'm going to lead sort of a guided meditation and we are going to allow in the,

The universal energy and into our crown chakra.

And we are going to,

Because what's the best way to sort of combat those icky emotions,

You know,

Those negative thoughts that we,

That we have that come to us so seemingly easily,

You know,

All of those,

All of those,

You know,

Low self esteem type thoughts and,

And you know,

All kinds of not great thoughts.

Let's just put it that way,

Right?

How do we combat that?

Honestly through meditation,

You know,

And allowing in the universal energy,

You know,

Allow in the mother earth energy to get ourselves back to where we need to be in our lives,

Right?

That's the best way to do it,

Right?

So let's jump right in to a,

An amazing meditation that is kind of channeled.

So,

So there we go,

Right?

So let's get ourselves comfortable,

Right?

And get your seat,

Get your blankie,

Get your pillow,

Whatever it is for you and get yourself comfortable.

There is no,

We don't do in this particular circumstance,

We don't do any hand mudras or you can sit however you choose,

Right?

Because we're just trying to build our habit of sitting quietly in meditation for a relatively short period of time,

Right?

So we're trying to build that muscle.

So get yourself comfortable and close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.

And let's take a nice deep breath in,

Hold it and release.

Perfect.

Loving that first deep breath.

It's beautiful.

Let's do that one more time.

Breathing really slow through your nose,

Hold it just for a second and let it out.

Gorgeous.

So as we sit and get ready to begin sitting in the stillness for just a few minutes,

Let's consider our gratefuls for the day.

What is it that you feel so grateful for today?

Two or three things.

It doesn't have to be a big dramatic thought process.

Just what's in your heart?

What is in your heart today that you are so thankful for?

It could be anything from the meal that you had last night,

The company you kept with the meal.

Whatever it is for you,

That's what's so beautiful about gratitude.

It's an individual question.

So as we start to relax our bodies,

I want to call attention to our root chakra,

Which is at the base of our spine.

And I want us to consider opening up that chakra just a little bit,

Allowing in Mother Earth's energy to our being.

And we invite in Mother Earth's energy to come into our being and infuse us with that beautiful grounding energy.

All through our bodies,

Mother Earth connects us to each other,

To ourselves.

Allow that energy to come up through our legs,

Our abdomen and torso,

Feeling that belonging to the world,

Up through our arms and chest and our heads.

Now let's place our attention on the crown chakra,

Which is on the top of our heads,

Just above our heads,

Opening up ever so slightly.

This pristine white light is so warm and loving,

You can feel the presence of unconditional love,

Spirit,

God,

Universe.

As our crown chakra opens,

Let's envision the beautiful lotus flower,

Opening up and spreading its petals so beautifully.

That gorgeous white loving light begins to pour very slowly into our crown chakra and starts to envelop with its beautiful love our entire body and being.

The warmth and glow of the white light fills us with a peace and joy that washes away any self-doubt or low self-esteem or fear and replaces it with bright,

Joyous,

Unconditional,

Pure love.

We allow it to continue to fill our entire being while combining with Mother Earth's love and we sit for just a few moments in this brilliant,

Beautiful,

Healing energy.

Now as we sit in the stillness and relax,

Let's allow ourselves to enjoy this energy.

As we start to bring our awareness back to our bodies,

We thank God for bringing us and allowing us to experience this energy,

This beautiful,

Unconditional love that Spirit has for us.

As we go throughout our day,

We can reference back to this feeling.

So let's take a deep breath in and release.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

So do you guys feel as tingly as I do?

I really love when I invite in the universal energy,

The white light,

Especially right now because in those feelings of with all the emotional baggage and feelings of low self-worth or low confidence,

All of that,

We have to remind ourselves that we are beings of light.

We are beings of Spirit.

I would call this a guided meditation with chakra clearing, rather than a talk. I was looking for something helpful and interesting to listen to while I cleaned my bathroom, and I found myself both literally and metaphorically working to release old, yucky blockages. The guided meditation was lovely, and I am thoroughly grateful I stumbled onto this practice.
