My name is Larissa and today I'd like to share a quick energy awareness technique.
That you can use any time during your day.
Use it in those moments you notice you've become attached to situations,
Emotions,
Or experiences that don't need your continued attention.
It's a simple visualization to help you release those attachments.
And bring your energy back to yourself.
So let's begin.
Start by taking a slow,
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Close your eyes if it's safe and comfortable.
And think of a situation that's currently lingering in your mind,
Or it could be a situation that just happened and you are practicing this in that moment.
Maybe you've had an upsetting interaction.
Or you've witnessed tension or conflict and found yourself carrying that emotional charge.
Or maybe you just had an earmist in traffic and it's replaying in your mind over and over to distraction.
As you bring that situation to mind.
To see sense.
Or just feel your energy attached to it.
I often visualize my energy as an ethereal,
Glowing stream of light.
Reaching from me to the object.
The technique is simply allowing that current of energy to let go and return to you.
If the attachment is connected to something from the past,
You may see the energy returning from behind you.
If it's connected to a future worry or anxiety,
You may see it returning from in front.
Or if the thing just happened nearby,
Maybe you'll picture it coming back from that direction.
There is no right or wrong way.
Simply allow your energy to return to you.
Notice yourself.
Becoming more present and centered.
Take another slow breath in.
And release it with a long sigh.
Take a moment to know how you feel now.
This technique can be practiced anytime you notice yourself holding on to something that no longer serves you.
And the more you practice,
The easier it becomes to recognize when your energy is attached elsewhere and gently call it back.
