Meet Your Magical Creature by Kylie Savage Psyche.
Okay,
I want you to just take some time here to get seated comfortably in a chair or perhaps you'd like to lay down for this guided visualization.
Once you're seated or laying down,
I want you to stretch,
Wriggle and just make yourself as comfortable as you can be.
As you stretch and wriggle,
I want you to release any tension,
Any tight spots in your body.
Just breathe that out and make sure you're in a position that you can maintain for about 15 minutes.
Okay,
Let's start by taking in some nice deep breaths in through the nose and exhaling out through the mouth.
So breathing in through the nose all the way down to the belly,
Feeling the belly expand and breathing out through the mouth.
And in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And in through the nose and out through the mouth.
And we're going to keep going with that.
You may want to breathe in through the nose and then exhale with a sigh.
So breathing in through the nose and exhaling,
Letting all that tension just go.
As we sigh it out,
You're more and more relaxed.
Okay,
And I want you to also notice as you go back to breathing in through your nose and out through your nose,
How much cooler that air feels as you breathe in and how much warmer the air feels as you breathe out.
Okay,
That's it.
Nice,
Relaxed breathing in through the nose,
Out through the nose,
In through the nose,
Out through the nose.
And we're taking this time to be present yet deeply relaxed.
You're in a really safe space and you're feeling very warm and secure.
I want you to just try and see now if you can feel 10% more relaxed.
So on your next breath out,
That's it,
10% more relaxed.
Feeling your shoulders come all the way down from your ears.
Feeling your belly just go so soft,
All the tension coming out of your belly.
Your hips feel nice and loose.
Your lower back feels really stretched and supported.
And there's no tension there in your back at all.
Your shoulders are no longer tight.
You're just breathing and feeling more and more relaxed,
Nice and loose,
Sinking deeper and deeper into this super relaxed yet aware state.
And you're letting go of your body more and more as your body begins to let go of you.
I want you to just listen to my voice and follow along.
I'm going to guide you through this visualization.
And if you get lost at all,
Just focus on my voice and your breath,
How cool the air feels as you breathe in and how warm it feels as you breathe out.
You've arrived right here,
Right now.
You're free from all distractions and worries.
This is all that you're doing for the time being.
I want you to see in your mind's eye a beautiful ball of glowing white light in the distance.
This light slowly drifts towards you and comes to rest on the top of your head.
You allow the light in through the top of your head as you breathe out.
And it moves right down through your head,
Everywhere through your body.
Everywhere it touches feels soft and warm,
Like feathers descending right through your whole body.
Everywhere this light goes is cleansed and cleared.
Each cell in your body is flooded with white,
Pure,
Healing energy and light.
It moves all the way down from your scalp,
All the way down to your toes,
And it fills you up with this pure,
Healing white light.
This light also gently and softly wraps around the outside of your body like a glowing white cocoon.
Pulsating and moving around,
Healing and cleansing all of your skin,
Your hair and your aura.
You feel so safe,
Perfectly well,
Rounded and balanced.
You begin to see yourself now shrink down,
Down,
Down inside your being until you're a really,
Really tiny version of you.
Then I want you to drift up like you're being pulled on a string up to your third eye in between your brows.
There you see a white door with an outline of a strong,
Bright white light.
When you're ready,
Open the door and go on through.
The pulling sensation continues and you feel drawn up higher and higher into the night sky.
Soon you arrive at a place filled with white light.
And as the light recedes,
You're in a beautiful,
Green,
Ancient forest.
You can hear birdsong and hear creatures moving through the forest.
A beautiful golden light filters down through big,
Old trees.
And at your feet,
A path appears in front of you and you begin walking along it.
Up ahead in the distance,
You see an opening ringed with big,
Old trees full of soft,
Green grass and beautifully coloured flowers.
Move into this space and look around you.
From here,
You can see purple mountains in the distance.
Over on the opposite side,
A sandy path winds through the forest leading to the ocean which you can hear and smell.
On another side,
You see a babbling brook move over rounded stones leading through clear,
Sparkling pools and down to a waterfall.
Take a moment where you are to see if you feel drawn to go to one of these other places.
Or you may see a path heading off to somewhere else.
If you choose to,
You can stay right where you are in this little clearing.
You'll find a comfortable seat and you can wait here to meet your magical creature.
Whatever creature comes to greet you,
Know that you're safe and they only want you to have a good experience.
The creature may look scary,
Yet they are here to protect and guide you and impart only wisdom that you're ready to receive.
Join your magical creature and thank them for meeting you now.
Spend some time getting to know them.
You may find it easier to look down at your own feet first.
Are you wearing shoes or are you barefoot?
Now look across to the creature's feet.
What do they look like?
Do they have hooves or claws or fins?
Keep looking down at your own body and then across to their body to build up a picture.
Let this experience come to you piece by piece.
You don't need to force anything.
All of these magical creatures have existed forever.
Once upon a time they lived alongside human beings and shared this world.
Over the time they made the difficult decision to leave as people changed their behaviour towards them.
Magical creatures now reside in realms that can connect to ours,
But they are safe from people's fears and possible harm.
We need magical creatures and their guidance and wisdom.
They need us too.
Ask your magical creature any questions you may have and wait patiently for the responses as they come to you.
You may hear them,
See them or just know what your creature is saying to you.
I'll leave you here for a while to get to know each other.
Now that you've made a connection to your magical creature,
Know that you can continue to communicate with them.
Acknowledge their message for you today and the wisdom they've come to share with you.
Thank them for their presence,
Protection and ongoing guidance.
This is a really special relationship that's begun now or is being started up again.
Your magical creature may have imparted a lot to you today,
Yet they all want us to know how important it is to keep the doors to magic open.
An open mind is always way more functional than a closed one.
Magical creatures have a unique perspective and teaching for us and they ask that we remember how important it is to maintain the mystery.
Magic is as essential to us as oxygen and it leads to creativity,
Understanding,
Joy and true power.
Ask for a sign or a gift that will keep this connection between you both strong.
You may find a small item or crystal that speaks to you and reminds you of them in the coming days.
Keep that item close and hold it or look at it when you're communicating with your magical creature to make the bond clearer and stronger.
Now I want you to leave this place that you've been in and tell your creature you'll be back soon.
Find the clearing and the path back through the forest,
Through the white light,
Descending down through the night sky all the way down to the white door.
Go through the door and close it behind you.
And as you breathe in deeply through your nose,
I want you to feel yourself growing bigger and bigger and bigger until you fill up your whole body once again.
Feeling more and more connected,
Mind,
Body and spirit.
Grounded,
Relaxed and focused wherever you're sitting or laying down.
Make your next few breaths in deeper,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take some nice cleansing deep breaths right down to the belly and exhale out with a sigh.
Releasing any excess energy that you may have raised.
And just begin to stretch and wriggle,
Taking time to feel fully aware.
Keep breathing in nice and deeply and when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Coming back to full awareness.
Make sure you have a nice drink of water and grab your journal and your pen and record your experience.
