So what's happening is society sells us on this idea that your job should be purposeful,
It should have meaning,
And let's be honest,
Like not all of us are going to have jobs that light us up fully.
And I only say this because I have a ton of conversations with clients and they're like,
Oh,
I want to feel fulfilled,
I want to be in like this dream career,
But they don't really have the structures or foundations or even like the vision of what that is.
And when we get down to the energetics of it,
We're so consumed by what we're doing in terms of a job or career that we're actually not even living fully.
Like we're always thinking about what does my job look like,
What does my career look like,
But really what does your life look like?
And when we zoom out and we come out of focus,
It wasn't even about the job,
It wasn't even about the career.
It was because we're not showing up for ourselves fully and in alignment with our life as a whole.
Like we're not putting that love,
That energy and attention on what brings us actual purpose and fulfillment because we tend to identify and label our careers as that thing,
The thing that gives us purpose.
And we forget that life is meant to be experienced.
Life is meant to be fulfilling and purposeful.
It's in the everyday moments.
It's in the smiles from a stranger.
It's in the way your baby looks at you.
It's in the way that you move your body to a yoga flow.
And we forget all of those little details and all of those beautiful things because we're so caught up in our jobs.
And what if our job was to live life freely?
What if our job was just to be happy?
So when we shift our perspective and our mindset to not only just worrying about career,
But looking at our lives from a broader perspective of how am I being fulfilled in life?
How am I showing up purposeful in life?
That makes all the difference because the job becomes less burdensome.
It becomes a means.
It becomes a resource.
And don't get me wrong.
If you don't feel aligned or happy in your job,
Then of course,
Leave it.
But this is just another perspective to look at.
Looking at your life as a whole,
Looking for that fulfillment and that purpose in everyday moments.
And just a reminder,
Just a reminder that everything we do and how we show up is a reflection of the life that we live.
