A Meditation For Receiving

Welcome to this meditation to receive.

This is Kristina Carole and I will be guiding you today.

Please find a comfortable place to either lie down or sit down.

Let yourself settle in to this sacred space for the next several minutes.

And as you relax,

See if you can get a little bit more comfortable making any final adjustments to your position.

Take a deep inhale through your nose and a loud sigh through your mouth.

Another one of those letting go breaths.

Deep inhale in,

A loud sigh out.

Just allowing your eyes to close if that's comfortable for you.

Allowing your shoulders to relax down away from your ears.

Letting the tension in your face and jaw go.

And begin to just notice the natural give and take giving and receiving of your breath.

Exhaling on the inhale,

Giving back on your exhale.

Receiving that next inhale and feeling that expansion in your belly and your chest.

And giving that breath away as you let go.

Allowing your breath to find a slow,

Deep rhythm and just consciously being aware of the giving and receiving nature of your breath.

And now gently place your hands over your heart,

Your heart center,

Center of your chest.

And in your mind's eye,

Begin to imagine an emerald green orb or some kind of shape that represents your heart and your heart chakra.

And as if you were outside looking in,

Just notice all the qualities of this element of your heart,

How big it is,

The texture,

Whether it seems more fluid and soft with round corners or whether it has more of a solid shape with edges and lines.

And now just imagine that it begins to glow.

This beautiful emerald green color begins to glow throughout the shape.

And then you see light fragments or maybe even lasers begin to emanate and radiate out from it.

Stay with your breath and notice how your heart center,

This emerald green shape begins to grow.

And eventually it takes up the whole space of your chest,

Filling up your rib cage.

And it expands outside of your rib cage now and takes up your whole torso and it starts to feel a little bit confined so as you breathe,

You just allow it to emerge outside of your body.

And you notice that it just continues to expand until it envelops your body.

So you are now in the middle of the center of your heart,

Your heart space.

Your heart is bigger than your body.

And now take your hands away from your heart center and just start to expand your heart center even more with your hands just gently pushing it out above you,

Pushing it out to your sides,

Pushing it out below you and even behind you.

So just using your hands and imagine that you are just expanding your heart,

Your heart center,

And as you are expanding it,

You are also expanding your capacity to receive.

So once you feel your heart center is as big as it can be,

Or it feels like it's just the right size,

It's the perfect size,

The amount that you are ready and willing to receive is what this size is now representing.

Just notice what it feels like to be inside this space.

What does it feel like to be inside this huge heart that is so full of love and gratitude and is so ready to receive more?

And now think of something that you would like to receive more of whether it's love,

Support,

Joy,

Money,

Creativity,

Connection,

Friendship,

Adventure,

Pleasure,

Whatever it may be.

You can either say this out loud or just say it inside your mind.

I am ready to receive more of.

I am ready to receive more love,

Abundance,

Money,

Whatever it is that you are choosing to focus on right now.

And now stretching your arms out wide to find the edges of your heart center that has now encompassed and circled you.

Reach those edges and slowly start to bring your hands back in until they rest on your heart center.

So now you are bringing all of this capacity and ability to receive this expanded state back inside your body so you're gently bringing your heart,

Your giant heart back inside your body and gently resting your hands over your heart when you feel that it has now come back inside you.

And now just locking in this feeling of expansion,

Knowing you have just created more ability and capacity to receive and just notice how your heart feels differently now.

Notice how it takes up more space in your body.

Notice how your breath comes and goes a little bit more freely now and notice that any resistance you have been holding in your body,

Any resistance to receiving has now lessened.

And just kind of being with this new expanded state of consciousness,

This new awareness.

Just say to yourself or in your mind,

I am so grateful that I have received this.

Fill in the blank.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

All my heart.

I am so grateful that I have received this.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

And just breathing that in.

And now as you go throughout the rest of your day,

Bring with you this energy of receiving,

This openness and willingness to receive.

Feel free to stay here a little bit longer if you like.

But if you're ready to come out,

Just begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Circle your wrists and ankles.

Maybe find a nice big stretch and yawn.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.
