This is Kip,
And we're going to spend a few moments on stress reduction through focusing on our breathing.
So I invite you to gently close your eyes and just sink into a comfortable position and start by taking a few deep cleansing breaths in through your nose and gently exhaling through your mouth.
And in again,
And as you exhale,
Focus on releasing any stress,
Anxiousness,
Judgment that may be lingering in your body.
And as you bring your awareness to your breath,
You're actually presencing yourself to the here and now.
And in this moment of breathing,
There's just breathing.
There's nothing wrong.
And notice your thoughts as they always will come through,
And they'll fight for airspace to challenge your inner well-being.
So see in this moment if you can just observe your thoughts and potentially label a thought as it comes through and put it on a shelf and return to breathing in this sense of light,
Acceptance,
And calm.
Regardless of our circumstances and conditions,
We all have a choice as to how we respond and react.
And being aware of the breath allows us to create an inner sense of calm amidst the external storm.
As you continue breathing,
Just acknowledge that you are worthy and breathing out the stress and breathing in the gratitude for being alive.
Taking a deep cleansing breath,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Moving your head side to side,
And when you feel ready,
You may gently open your eyes in gratitude,
Journey onward.
