My name is Kim and welcome to today's meditation.
I'll be your guide for this brief mantra meditation.
A mantra is a mind tool that helps the mind travel beyond the level of thoughts into deeper levels of silence and awareness.
Let's get still.
To the mind that is still,
The whole universe surrenders,
Lao Tzu.
Find a quiet spot where you won't be disturbed.
Make yourself as comfortable as possible.
In a position sitting or lying down,
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in and hold it.
Slowly release it.
Take another nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Holding gently and just let it all go.
One more long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Hold it and slowly release it with a sigh.
Become mindful of the natural rhythm of your breath.
Feel the natural flow of your breath moving in and out like waves in the ocean,
Going into the shore and then back out into the deepest,
Vastest parts of the ocean.
Down deep,
Quiet and still.
Your mind is starting to calm.
Your body is relaxing and settling down.
There's no need to push.
There's nowhere else to be except right here,
Right now.
Give yourself this time,
This sweet,
Sacred,
Precious,
Present moment.
Just breathe.
Keep breathing.
The mantra today is So Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum.
Please say it with me three times out loud.
So Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum.
Now whisper it three times.
So Hum.
Now begin to say it silently to yourself without moving your tongue or your lips.
So Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum means I am.
However,
We use the mantra for its vibrational quality,
Not its meaning.
There's no need to push or to force it.
And when you feel that your attention has drifted to something else,
That's all right.
No worries.
Just return your attention gently and easily back to silently repeating the mantra.
So Hum.
So Hum.
Continue with your meditation.
I'll watch the time.
And when you hear my voice,
Just sit quietly with your eyes closed,
Resting in the stillness and silence.
Just keep repeating So Hum.
Hum.
So Hum.
So Hum.

Slowly let go of the mantra.

When you feel it,
Begin to open your eyes.
Take in the space that you are in.
Stretch and move very slowly.

Taking your time,
