A chance to slow down,
Reset your nervous system,
And feel more grounded.
Today,
I will be guiding you through a body scan.
A body scan is a great opportunity to tune into your body.
Your goal for today might be practicing bringing your mind back to my guidance if you find it wandering.
Your goal for today might be noticing something new in your body that you hadn't noticed before.
Your goal for today might be checking for tension so later you can work on releasing it.
For right now,
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position and get yourself ready by taking 3 cleansing breaths in through the nose and sighing out through the mouth.
Start by noticing the crown of your head.
Moving down to your forehead.
The muscles around your eyes.
Allow your lips to open ever so slightly.
Notice your ears and your jaw.
Travel down into your neck and then to your shoulders.
Move your attention down your arms all the way to your fingertips.
Slowly move back up your arms.
Into the upper back and chest.
Down into your belly,
Your lower back,
And your hips.
Notice your upper legs,
Your knees,
Your lower legs,
Your ankles,
The bottoms of your feet.
All the way to your toes.
Breathe a breath in,
Imagining it traveling from your toes up to the crown of your head.
And as you breathe out,
The breath travels back down to your toes.
Do 2 more breaths like this,
Feeling the breath moving easily through your body.
Now gently move your fingers and your toes,
Maybe giving a little stretch to the neck.
Take a deep breath in.
And on your exhale,
Slowly open your eyes.
Notice the calm in your body.
Notice the calm in your mind.
