Hello and welcome.
If you're not already in a place where you can be laying down,
Find your way there now.
Perhaps you choose to place a pillow or a bolster behind the backs of your knees or a light soft eye covering draped across your closed eyes.
Make yourself as comfortable as necessary.
As you lay and settle in,
Bring your awareness to where the earth touches your body below you,
How it holds you.
Bring your attention to the rhythm of your breath.
Witness its natural cadence without trying to form or force.
Using the tool of your precious attention,
Begin to shape your inhalation.
Allow it to trace down the riverbed of your spine from your crown out through the tips of your toes.
Shape your exhalation to spiral back upwards from toes and out through the crown of your head.
Continue the spiraling of breath,
A double helix traveling vertebra by vertebra along your spinal column.
The inhale trails down,
The exhale spirals back up out through the crown of your head.
Bring your awareness down.
Find your own rhythm here.
Allow the breath to be rich.
To the outer edges of your skin,
Attune yourself to the sensation of the floor beneath you,
The air around you,
Even the force of gravity pushing down from above you.
Awareness traces the edge of your skin where flesh meets form.
And in your mind's eye,
Find yourself floating in darkness,
Lighter than air.
You have entered this nameless place.
With your attention,
Begin to push away the forms of your outer layer,
As if you could stretch your physical shell away from you.
And perhaps there's a pulsing sensation that accompanies this.
Or perhaps not.
Begin to stretch your skin out and away.
Bring your attention now to the muscles that coat your body.
And feel them along your legs and arms,
Across your chest and belly,
Your back.
And with this same gentle awareness,
Begin to push the bounds of muscle away from your form.
Expanding,
Pulsing,
Disintegrating into the vast space around you.
Your attention rests now on your bones.
And as you are aware of their placement,
You begin to push them away.
Form becomes formless.
And you,
This radiant essence is left floating in the nameless place.
Allow your essence to stretch and pulse to be held here.
And as you begin to push away,
Begin to push away the forms of your outer layer.
As you float,
You become aware of a sensation in your center.
And you peer down at your radiant essence.
A golden cord has attached itself to you.
And grasping the cord,
You begin to pull.
Pulling yourself along this tether.
As the slack begins to end,
You find yourself at the end of this golden cord.
You step through a door and enter the most beautiful,
Luminous,
Dazzling meadow you have ever seen.
Begin the flora and fauna.
Lay yourself down on the cool grass.
The creatures,
The insects,
The trees reaching above you.
You've entered the cave of your heart.
The center of your center.
The unstruct place.
Sitting up in the meadow now.
You open your hands.
And inside of them is a gift,
A tool for you.
For your heart in the physical world.
Leaving a gift of your own.
You stand to leave.
Turning yourself back towards the door.
You find yourself once again floating in the nameless place.
Using your precious attention,
You call form back to you.
Flesh back to you.
The bones reconnect under your tissues.
The muscles mesh over bone.
And your skin,
Your form,
Finds itself once more.
Awareness returns to the earth that holds you.
The air that kisses your skin.
The force of gravity pushing against you.
Perhaps you pay attention now to a sound in the room.
Passing traffic.
Begin a gentle wiggling of the toes and fingers.
Welcoming yourself back to this realm,
To this plane,
To this body.
And when you're ready,
Curl yourself onto one side.
Pull your knees in nice and close.
Allow the experience,
The sensations of where you've just journeyed to,
To wash over you.
