Hello and welcome.

Today's meditation will center around the act of forgiveness,

This releasing of where energy is being held,

This releasing of the expectations of others.

The lightening of the load,

So to speak.

So if you're not already,

You may choose to come to a seated position with a straight spine,

Perhaps against a wall or supported by a bolster.

Alternatively,

You may choose to lay down,

Tucking something beneath the knees,

Perhaps laying a piece of cloth over the eyes,

So that you're able to be fully engaged and fully present.

So often when we examine these bigger emotions or sensations in the body,

Especially those attached to forgiveness or examining where someone may have hurt us or we may have hurt ourselves,

It can be easy to want to pull away.

So my invitation is to set up a space where you can be as fully engaged as possible.

This meditation journey is for you.

So take what lands and release what doesn't.

And hopefully you'll find some lightness.

Wherever you are,

However your body is positioned,

Turn your awareness to the shape of your breath,

Its natural rhythm and cadence.

Without shaping or forcing,

Just witnessing what is already there.

And as you witness your breath and its natural movements,

You can begin to coax it into a longer inhalation,

A longer exhalation.

So pull your breath from your crown out to your root.

So your breath is traveling the length of your spine.

And on your exhalation,

Your breath is spiraling back up.

Continue this rhythm,

Allowing yourself to be grounded,

Supported between the earth below and sky above.

And the tether of your breath.

Bring your awareness now to the space between your eyebrows,

Your third eye center.

With all your focus on this spot,

Feel your body almost cave in.

Feel your body enter the space of your third eye,

The sensation of falling back and resting into this gentle nothingness.

Your body's floating in the space between,

Untethered,

Unbothered.

Simply float here,

Feel the sensation of weightlessness.

Call to mind an issue or a problem,

Something that is feeling unresolved in your life at this time,

Something that is asking for your attention,

Perhaps your forgiveness.

Something that longs to be released because it is time.

Perhaps there's more than one something.

Perhaps it even involves someone and that's okay.

Bring it to the forefront of your attention now.

Without focusing on the details,

The who,

The what,

The where,

The why,

The how.

Focus on the sensation,

The quality.

Perhaps there's a color or sound,

A taste,

An emotion.

Perhaps you can see a person and focus on that as you call this to the forefront of your mind.

The forefront of your experience in this weightless place.

As you focus on the characteristics of what you see before you,

Begin to draw in the mind's eye a golden cord between you and what you behold.

Between you and the concern or the problem,

Between you and that which needs your forgiveness.

Begin to trace this gold cord and perhaps there are multiple,

Perhaps there are multiple gold cords streaming from you out to the different things that beg your attention.

That beg for forgiveness so that you may be lighter.

And continue to trace the lines of these golden cords as they extend out from you and into that which is holding space in your mind and body.

And with these golden cords attached,

I want you to picture a vibrant light in the center of your chest and perhaps the light is white.

Perhaps you see a different color.

It's okay.

Focusing on this bright,

Vibrant light from the center of the center,

Right from your heart itself.

And this light is warm and it's cool.

It brings a smile to your face.

It is gentle and swift.

It fills you.

And this light,

There's a knowing.

You lean into it.

The sensation of lightness,

The sensation of release,

The sensation of forgiveness on a cellular level.

The willingness to let go.

And as you focus on this light as it fills your body.

It begins to pulse outward from you.

Out your fingertips,

Down your legs and out your toes.

This light reaches your cords,

The ones that extend from you.

It begins to flow through the cords right from your heart into the heart of what you are carrying.

And you focus on the light traveling along the cord.

You focus on the resolution of that which weighs heavy in your heart.

You focus on the willingness to turn your gaze to the problem.

And as this white light dances along the cord,

Reaching its destination.

You find that the cord begins to dissolve.

That the sensation,

The person,

The color,

The quality that the cord was attached to begins to dissolve.

And as these cords dissolve,

The light retracts,

Finding its way back into your center,

Into your heart.

You follow the light as it once more fills you.

And as this cool sensation of light washes over your entire body,

You feel lighter.

Somehow even more weightless,

As if you too have dissolved.

You float here,

Reveling in the strength it takes to look again,

To forgive,

To release.

You float here.

And bringing your awareness back to your third eye center.

You begin to pull yourself back through this space,

Back into your body.

Feeling the sensation of the earth beneath you,

And the air upon your skin.

Perhaps there's a sound in the room,

Or just outside of the room that you can bring your attention to.

The gentle wiggle of the fingers,

The toes.

As you return to your day,

The invitation is there to take a moment to write about your experience.

To write about the release,

Or the sensation of lightness.

Thank you for your precious time and attention.

May your day be filled with light.

The lightness you carry in your bones and in your heart.

This was beautiful and deep for me. I love that this didn't push "forgiveness", rather provided a safe space. Thank you
