Welcome to Soma Nidra,

The practice for encouraging the flow of your inner soma,

The nectar of rejuvenation.

You may choose to sit in a meditation position or to lie down in Shavasana.

Your spine is the conduit of Soma.

So in Shavasana you may want to elevate your legs to resolve arching at the back of your waist.

And if there's an arch at the back of your neck,

Elevate your head with a folded blanket.

Soma rains down from the top of the spinal cord down the length of the spine.

Settle into your body,

Allowing your whole body to be just as it is.

Give yourself a long breath in and an easy exhale.

And another breath in and an easy exhale.

And allow your breathing to be just as it is.

In the beginning it is a drop.

Drop becomes drip.

Drip becomes flow.

Flow becomes flood.

And flood becomes rush.

You will experience profound peace.

And along with that peace,

There is love.

Be aware of the top of your head.

Be aware of the back and sides of your head.

Into and through your face.

Be aware of your whole head.

And into the deep center of your head.

In the deep center of your head is a full moon.

This moon is full of nectar.

Nourishing nectar.

It is Soma.

Be aware of this full moon in the center of your head.

Full of white,

Lustrous nectar.

Allow that full moon to fill your whole head.

Be aware of that nectar dripping down.

In the center of your head,

Nectar dripping down into and through your throat.

Filling nourishing your throat and neck.

Be aware of nectar dripping down from your throat.

Into and through your shoulders.

Into and through the length of your arms.

Wrists.

Hands.

Fingers and thumbs.

Pooling at the tips of your fingers and thumbs.

Your hands and arms nourished,

Soothed by that nectar.

Again from the moon in the center of your head.

Be aware of that soothing,

Nourishing nectar dripping down.

Down the length of your spine.

Nectar nourishing your upper spine from your neck down through your rib cage.

Nectar dripping down and nourishing your spine through your waist.

Nectar dripping down,

Nourishing your sacrum and tailbone.

Pooling at the tip of your tailbone.

The whole length of your spine nourished by nectar.

From your spine extending outward,

That nourishment expanding to fill your whole torso.

Your whole torso nourished by soma.

Inside and outside.

The whole front of your torso including your chest and belly.

The sides of your torso and your whole back.

Your whole torso back and front,

Front and back.

From the inside out,

Nourished by that nectar.

From your torso that nectar dripping down to nourish your hips and hip joints.

Dripping down to nourish your thighs.

Knees and lower legs.

Nectar dripping down to nourish your ankles and feet.

And the lengths of your toes,

Each and every toe.

Pooling at the tips of your toes.

Be aware of your whole body nourished by that moon-like nectar.

Your whole body nourished from the inside out.

Including your toes and feet.

Your legs and hips.

Your whole torso.

From the length of your spine through all the layers inside and outside.

And from your torso,

Nectar nourishing your shoulders,

Arms,

Hands.

Into the lengths of your fingers and thumbs.

Hands.

Arms.

Shoulders.

Nourished by nectar.

Your throat.

And neck.

Into and through your face.

And your whole head.

Nourished by that nectar dripping from the full moon inside your head.

And rest in that.

Nectar dripping down to nourish your ankles and feet.

You You You You You In the beginning it is a trap Drop becomes strip drip becomes flow Flow becomes flood and flood becomes rush You will experience profound peace and along with that peace there is love You

This is an unusual meditation and surrendering was not immediate. However, I now find it to be a gentle, nourishing meditation. It helps me in filling my cup.

I woke up sore from strength training and getting to drench myself in nectar site felt good 😊 I don’t see how this was a yoga Nidra meditation, but it was a really lovely practice. Thank you!

Very good meditation. The words are a bit blurry and some are hard to understand. Maybe you need better recording equipment. I was very relaxed and peaceful at the end of this meditation. Thank you.
