I invite you to take a deep inhale in,
Rolling your shoulders up to your ears.
As you exhale,
Allow the shoulders to fall down your spine.
You can either rest your palms on your knees or gently resting in your lap,
Palms open,
Rising up,
Inviting the healing energy in.
Take three deep cleansing breaths to help settle your body and mind.
Allow the facial muscles to relax.
Your eyelids become heavy.
Allow your body to feel completely supported and embraced by the earth.
I invite you to envision yourself as you are now,
Walking through a hallway.
Notice how the temperature feels on your skin,
The softness in your shoulders with each step,
The heaviness of your feet as they touch the floor.
With each stride,
You move closer to the door.
Notice what color it is,
The shape of the door,
And the size.
You reach your arm out.
What does the door handle look like?
What color is it?
How does it feel in your hand?
Is it warm,
Soft,
Smooth?
You gently open the door and walk into a warm,
Loving sanctuary.
What does this sanctuary look like to you?
Is it a warm,
Beautiful space with the sun shining through the windows?
What scents do you smell?
What colors do you see?
Is it big and filled with comfortable furniture?
Or maybe it's small and cozy.
After you glance around the room,
You notice a little child sitting by one of the windows,
Staring into the landscape.
Feeling a sense of ease,
You walk over to the child and take a seat next to him or her.
Looking down,
You see the child look up at you with a sense of curiosity in their gaze.
You feel an instantaneous sense of familiar with this child.
In yourself,
Your own soul,
The curiosity in the child's eyes begin to fill with tears as the child looks into your gaze.
You recognize the trials the child will go through.
Looking down at the child,
You warmly embrace the child into a hug,
Whispering,
I am here.
You are safe now.
You are safe.
I will not hurt you and I will protect you.
The child is timid and remains still.
You are loved.
You are so loved by so many.
You feel the child's stillness and stiffness soon falter.
And you can feel the child release the tension in the body.
Embrace is released.
Looking down at your younger self,
You smile.
I am always here.
You remind yourself as you place your palm over your heart and your younger self places a palm over his or her heart.
You watch as the child returns the gaze upon the landscape,
Smiling,
More confident.
You can feel the warmth and the energy emanating from the child.
Slowly stand up,
Turn,
And walk back towards the door.
With one last glance,
You look over your shoulder at your younger self.
Smiling as the imagination comes back to the child,
As she or he is running around the room playing.
Smiling you turn your gaze back towards the door and reach for the handle.
Feeling a sense of happiness and warmth.
Taking a deep inhale in,
Feeling the love fill your heart,
And exhale feeling the fear,
Discomfort and pain wash away.
Slowly you begin to pass through the threshold,
Gently fluttering your eyelids open.
Pause in the stillness.
Pause in the serenity and tranquility.
Know that you are home.
Know that you are safe.
Know that you are loved.
Namaste.
