Hello and welcome to this grounding meditation.
Take a moment to find a comfortable seat.
Bringing your awareness down into your sit bones and noticing where it connects to the floor or your support below.
From that place of grounding,
Begin to lengthen and extend up through the spine.
Finding space all the way up to the top of the head.
Let your shoulders relax away from your ears.
Your shoulder blades glide down your back and find that balance between strength and relaxation.
If you wish,
Close your eyes.
We'll steady the gaze on a point in front of you.
Begin to notice the flow of the breath as it moves in and out of your nose.
Without judgment,
Become aware of where the breath flows in the body.
Noticing if it's deep or shallow,
If the breath feels long or short.
If it feels comfortable to you,
Begin to expand the breath.
As you breathe in,
Feeling the belly rise.
As you breathe out,
Feeling the belly fall.
Keeping the breath flowing.
Drop your awareness down into your sit bones.
Feeling them anchored down into the earth.
From that place of connection,
Imagine that roots are reaching down all the way to the core of the earth.
And as these roots continue to reach downward,
Imagine that you are sending down whatever you need to let go of.
Releasing the fears,
Releasing what no longer serves you and letting the earth hold it.
If you find that you're getting caught in the story of what you want to release,
Just gently,
Kindly bring yourself back to the moment by watching the flow of the breath again.
And then continuing to let go.
Release down through these roots.
Now from this connection,
From these roots,
Begin to draw upwards what you would like to bring more of into your life.
Joy,
Abundance,
Whatever is resonating for you right now.
Beginning to draw that upwards.
Then placing either one hand or both on your heart.
Imagine from those roots,
Through the sit bones,
All the way up through the spine until your heart center.
And feeling those sensations with what you want to bring more of into your life,
Holding them in your heart space.
Then letting them go and returning your focus back to the breath.
If your eyes are closed,
Whenever you feel ready,
Blinking them back open and coming back to the room.
Thank you.
