The Oversoul Prayer is a recitation appealing to the highest expression of each of our individual souls. Written by Karen Kohler in Brooklyn, NY in June of 2018, this prayer-poem was inspired by the American Indian (Lakota) prayer of Chief Yellow Lark, titled "O' Great Spirit" of 1887. Karen drew the name "Oversoul" from an 1841 essay by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and from the name of an inspirational painting by the artist Alex Grey.
