For this meditation, find a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down undisturbed for a few minutes. Once you're comfortable, take a couple of deep breaths and relax your entire body. Begin by bringing to your mind a situation where you have felt unappreciated. This can be a recent situation or something that happened a while ago. Let yourself fully feel the emotions that come up, but also try to observe them with curiosity and without judgment.

Here's a meditation when you're feeling unappreciated.

I feel so unappreciated.

No one thanks me for all that I do for them.

I feel like they take me for granted and don't realize all that I sacrifice to help others.

I know that I'm amazing and crave acknowledgement.

It's okay that I'm annoyed and that I don't hear thank you for all that you do for me.

I deserve to feel appreciated and I may trigger resentment when no one thanks me.

I accept the resentment I feel but will not allow it to stay in my heart,

My mind and soul.

Deep breathe and release the resentment.

Resentment is not welcome to reside in your mind or body.

So take three deep breaths,

Inhale,

Hold and exhale.

Inhale once more,

Hold,

Exhale.

Last one,

Inhale,

Hold,

Exhale.
