Life is pulling our attention in too many directions— an ongoing assault of stress responses in our bodies. Stress has become a norm and many have entered a state of prolonged or chronic stress which comes with many other health problems, including anxiety, inflammation, suppressed immune system, depression, sleep disorders, migraine, and brain fog — to only name a few. An over-activated stress response does damage. Use this meditation to take a break.

Hello,

Welcome.

I invite you to take a moment and hit the pause button for resetting.

Find a place that's quiet and you will not be disturbed.

You can do this standing or sitting or lying down.

Remove yourself from all distractions.

Just taking a moment to be present,

A moment to reset.

Close your eyes.

Take in a breath and exhale.

Do it again.

Take in a breath and exhale.

Third one.

Take in a breath,

Hold it,

And exhale.

Wonderful.

Find something that makes you smile.

Maybe it's a friend's joke,

The smile of a loved one.

Great.

Hold on to that thought.

Smile to yourself.

Open your eyes.

And thank you for joining me for a moment to reset.
