Welcome to Find Yourself Meditations.
I'm Julie LeBreton.
I invite you to sit back and close your eyes as we relax our bodies and clear our minds in preparation for our journey.
Let's begin by taking three deep breaths.
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Allow your body to relax more and more each time you breathe.
Breathing in healing,
Love,
And light,
And breathing out all the stress and worry from your body.
As we continue to breathe,
We'll begin to focus on relaxing our bodies.
Let's start at our feet.
Focusing on your feet as you breathe,
Feel your feet relaxing.
Feel all the tension draining out of your feet.
This feeling of relaxation continues up your legs and thighs as they begin to relax.
As you continue to breathe,
Focus on your lower back.
Feel it relax.
Breathing in and out,
Continue to relax your body.
Feel all the tension leave your upper back and shoulders.
Feel your arms and hands relax.
Feel your neck and your face relax.
Feel your whole body fully relax.
See yourself fully relaxed.
Now let's empty our minds as thoughts arise.
Think of them as leaves floating on a stream.
Allow them to slowly float away from you.
The thoughts become fewer and fewer until soon there are no more leaves.
Just clean,
Clear,
Flowing water.
You find yourself in a field of flowers at night.
It is dim,
But there is a large waning moon in the sky that still shines bright,
Illuminating your surroundings.
You are at the foot of a stone staircase that leads up to a stone platform.
You slowly walk up the stairs,
And as you reach the top,
You see the stone platform is surrounded by jars filled with twinkling lights.
You look closer,
Expecting fireflies or candles,
But see there are galaxies in each jar.
Your eyes widen in delight at their beauty.
In the middle of the large platform is a throne of gold that is engraved with stars and encrusted with jewels.
Above you,
There is a very bright eight-pointed star that appears to be pulsing as you look at it.
It shines brighter and brighter.
You hide your eyes behind your arm as the star becomes too bright to look at,
And then the light is gone.
When you lower your arm,
The throne is no longer empty.
Goddess Inanna sits regally in her throne.
Welcome,
She says,
Holding out her hand and inviting you to come closer.
I was hoping you would find your way here tonight to join me.
Tonight is a very special night.
You see all my children in these jars,
These galaxies?
They are ready to take their place in the heavens tonight,
To begin their lives,
To grow even larger and multiply and become who they are truly meant to be.
I'd like you to help me release them to their true purpose.
Help me take these lids off and let's set them free.
You watch as Goddess Inanna walks to one of the jars.
She opens the lid and the galaxy floats out and up into the sky.
You watch as it shines and joins the rest of the night sky.
You walk to a jar and remove the lid.
You are surprised at how much hope and joy you feel coming from the galaxy as it floats away.
You and Goddess Inanna open all the jars,
Releasing the galaxies.
When you are done,
You follow her back to her throne.
And as she sits down,
She sighs.
Creating galaxies is easy.
Letting them go is the hard part.
There's always a part of me that wants to leave them in the jars,
To keep them safe.
I don't always know what will happen when they leave the jars,
But I know something will happen.
If they stay in those jars,
Nothing will happen and they'll never continue to grow.
They'll never reach their true potential.
That's why I wanted you here tonight,
So you could see what happens outside the jar.
To feel the hope and the joy.
It's time for you to let go.
Take off the lid and let life happen.
You understand what I'm talking about,
Don't you?
Goddess Inanna takes your hands in hers.
And as you look into her eyes,
You see the future.
Your future.
The possibility of things to come.
Take a moment to receive the gift Goddess Inanna is sharing with you.
Goddess Inanna blinks and smiles and the vision is gone.
Thank you for joining me tonight,
She says.
And remember not to leave the lid on forever.
It's always better to grow and progress than to stay stuck and never reach your true potential.
Goddess Inanna disappears in a flash of golden light.
You look around at the jars on the platform and see they each have a tiny new seed of a galaxy slowly beginning to grow inside of them.
And now when you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
Bringing back this energy of your true potential and taking it with you out into the world.
