I have been appointed a Dharma Teacher by Thich Nhat Hanh. I'm also a musician—I studied music at the New England Conservatory and at Boston University. Music is a big part of my own practice and of my teaching. Mindfulness songs help concentrate and guide the mind. This fall I offered three 8-week sessions in Montreal, Canada: 1. On stress reduction and personal growth, 2. On happiness and well being, 3. On dealing with the discomfort and emotional consequences of cancer at the Jewish General Hospital. I also meet people privately for meditation coaching. These sessions are quite rewarding as they allow clients to connect their meditation practice to their everyday life.
