A two part humming exhale that dissolves the emotional charge of frustration, stress or overwhelm. You take a full breath in, then release the first half of the exhale on the sound VOO and the second half on a long HUM until the lungs are empty. Repeat five to ten times and pause to feel the effects. Humming increases nitric oxide in the airways many times over, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure, and the vibration stimulates the parasympathetic receptors around the throat and chest. The VOO sound is drawn from the work of Peter Levine. It also happens to be a wonderful way to stay calm in cold water. Please do not listen to this while driving or operating heavy machinery.
