Hey there,
Welcome to the duck pond in the woods.
The ducks are all just there.
And I thought I could share chapter 16 of the Dao Te Ching with you.
I think given the times we're moving through,
It fits very beautifully.
Maybe we could hear this,
Maybe sit for two minutes together.
The ducks want to meditate as well.
They're just feeding on pond weed and things at the moment as I sit here.
Share the chapter with you again.
So maybe just make yourself comfortable.
Empty your mind of all thoughts.
Let your heart be at peace.
Watch the turmoil of beings.
But contemplate their return.
Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source.
Returning to the source.
Is serenity.
If you don't realize the source,
You stumble in confusion and sorrow.
When you realize where you come from.
You naturally become tolerant.
Disinterested,
Amused.
Kind-hearted as a grandmother,
Dignified as a king.
Immersed in the wonder of the Tao,
You can deal with whatever life brings you,
And when death comes,
You are ready.
Let's just take a couple of moments.
Perhaps just.
.
.
Closing your eyes.
Letting yourself feel.
The wholeness of your body,
The aliveness of your body.
And as you feel into that aliveness of your body,
Notice where you're holding on inside yourself.
Those little grips of fear and trying to push into things.
And instead of trying to get rid of them,
Simply allow your increasing awareness of awareness within you,
The feeling of life within you.
Just to be the soothing balm of self-blessing.
That allows you.
Inch by inch just to kind of settle back a little bit.
Let's just sit for a couple of moments.
Easeful and peaceful.
Knowing the source of yourself.
And there are some sounds around.
And because we're resting on ourselves,
We're not triggered or attaching to them.
Letting your heart rest in the source of life within you.
Dignified and kind.
Let's listen to the poem again.
Empty your mind of all thoughts.
Let your heart be at peace.
Watch the turmoil of beings.
But contemplate their return.
Each separate being in the universe.
Returns to the common source.
Returning to the source's serenity.
If you don't realize the source.
You stumble in confusion and sorrow.
When you realise where you come from.
You naturally become tolerant.
Disinterested,
Amused.
Kind-hearted as a grandmother,
Dignified as a king.
Immersed in the wonder of the Tao,
You can deal with whatever life brings you.
And when death comes,
You are ready.
Thank you so much for sitting with me for a moment or two.
In the woods by the dope pond.
