Everything really begins with the heart.
So in this five minute practice,
We will guide your awareness into the true peace that is within the heart of your wonderful heart.
This practice is designed to help you touch a greater sense of connection,
Ease,
Presence,
And inner spaciousness,
Which of course already lie within you.
We will then gently expand that awareness outwards to lovingly be with all of life.
And so I invite you to allow yourself to be here.
Just allow yourself to be here and engage with this practice,
Closing your eyes if that's right for you.
And because this is a short practice,
Rather than a traditional body scan,
I invite you to simply feel the life within your body.
Perhaps you can feel it more in a hand or a leg or a foot,
Or perhaps you can feel it all over.
And the secret to this is to make sure it's not your mind doing an impression of life,
But just simply with your felt sense,
Feeling the life within.
And of course you're aware of your breath moving in your body and you're aware of how your mind is.
Perhaps just feeling your mind as energy rather than getting caught in the tangle of thoughts and just noticing that you can notice your mind and allowing yourself to remain with the noticing more than being caught up and trying to figure things out.
And you're aware of your emotions and in the same way maybe sense your emotions as energy and notice that you can notice that you're aware.
And so I invite you to feel the breath moving in your abdomen,
But also to notice that you can feel the breath moving at the level of your heart.
Perhaps it's quite subtle,
But your breath moving with your heart.
And of course this gives you access to your feelings,
Your vulnerability,
Your openness,
And feeling the space that is within the heart,
Resting back into the space that is within the heart,
Meeting ourselves at the level of the heart with breath,
Noticing that sense of space within and recognizing that this same space that is within every single person that you know and love and is the same space in every person that you don't know,
Allowing yourself just to rest into the sense of space and then just letting that go and coming back to your sense of your own body,
Your own life force.
And so this meditation ends.
