This is a guided writing meditation using 10 writing prompts to ease you into a 10-minute writing practice. Each prompt is slightly different, allowing you to explore the range of your responses, as you allow yourself to flow from one to the other. Writing prompts open the gates and unlock doors to our thoughts, emotions, and stories. This writing practice can be used by anyone no matter your writing experience.

Hello friends and welcome to this writing meditation.

Please have a pen and paper with you as we move into a writing practice.

We're going to work with a series of writing prompts.

All you have to do is write out the writing prompt and then you will have a minute to allow yourself to write easily and freely.

Don't overthink,

Don't stop to read what you've written,

Don't worry about punctuation or grammar or spelling.

Just let the words spill out from you.

Keep your hand moving on the page and when you get stuck just rewrite the writing prompt.

I'm going to give you 10 prompts and you'll have a minute to write into each one.

The writing practice will begin and end with a gong.

All we're going to do today is work with slight tweaks to the prompts and though some of them might seem to be similar,

Just see how your brain responds to the different ones.

Are you ready?

Your first prompt is I have never I have never I have never I have never I have never Are you ready for your second prompt?

I always I always I always I always I always I always I always I always Here's your third prompt.

I sometimes I always I always I always I always I always I always I always Your fourth prompt is I seldom I always I always I always I always I always I always Prompt number five I would never I would never I would never I would never I would never I would never I would never I would never Your sixth prompt is I occasionally I always I always I always I always I always I always I always I tend to I always I always I always I always I always I always Your eighth prompt is you you you you you you And your final prompt is I'd give anything to you you Now using a highlighter take a few moments to read back on everything you've written Highlight phrases or words that jump out at you These are your golden phrases and you can use these as writing prompts for future writing exercises In this way writing is deeply self-generating and reveals the abundance of our own natural creativity May you keep your hand moving across the page.

May you keep writing to keep your soul nourished

This was wonderful. I am not a writer, but started to journal through many of my nervous system symptoms. It is helpful and so surprising. I think I am a dreamer … looking at the words and phrases I use. Thank you so much!!

This was great! Thank you šŸ™šŸ¼ I have been wanting to get more into journaling but find it hard to start. This was such a great way to get me writing and I’m amazed at how much I revealed about myself in such a short period of time šŸ’—

Loved having the writing prompts! I also very much appreciated the writing time of one minute per prompt, not too long but long enough to get to some important truths. šŸ’œ
