This reclined meditation teaches your mind to let go and surrender into trust. Each breath is cued, reminding you to relax beneath your skin, feel the love in your heart, and grow roots to ground your energy. Slow your movements and feel how tenderly Mother Earth holds you; she is always beneath you. Breath by breath cues challenge your breath capacity and strengthen your lungs. Move slowly and lie on your back,

Legs straight or feet on the ground.

Being in the body quiets the mind.

Teach your mind to let go and surrender into trust.

Relax your body into Mother Earth's embrace.

Feel her steady heartbeat.

This ground is always beneath you.

Expand your stomach and feel your lungs effortlessly inflate.

Slowly exhale into feeling.

Expand your stomach and feel your lungs fill with air.

Exhale,

Ground your energy low in your body.

Breathe in and connect with your feeling self.

Exhale feel how the earth reciprocates your touch.

Breathe in,

Tuck chin and gently root the back of your head.

Exhale snuggle your shoulders beneath and imagine growing roots from your upper back.

Breathe in,

Root palms and fingerprints on Mother Earth.

Exhale,

Ease your neck and throat.

Breathe in and be aware inside your body.

Exhale cherish the skin growing from you.

Breathe in and feel your heart beating.

Exhale grow roots from your pelvis.

Breathe in gratitude for your steadfast feet.

Exhale root your heels.

Breathe in and root all your connections.

Exhale relax into Mother Earth's embrace.

Breathe in and grow your roots deeper.

Exhale a slight smile relaxes your face.

Breathe in and imagine the life happening beneath you.

Exhale choose to trust and surrender.

Reach your breath deep into your room.

Exhale enjoy being held by Mother Earth.

Breathe in feeling deep into your room.

Exhale feel how tenderly you are held.

Breathe into your earth chakra located at the base of your spine.

Exhale curiously question what you are afraid of.

Exhale let your fears become clear to you.

Exhale surrender your fears let them drift.

Breathe in and imagine love swirling in your heart.

Exhale surrender into calm.

Breathe in and saturate yourself with love.

Exhale settle like dust and rain.

Breathe in and feel Mother Earth's love all around you.

Exhale rest on the ground always beneath you.

Breathe in deeply and feel your breath nourish your body.

Exhale feel beneath your skin and remember your roots.

Breathe into your tender spots.

Exhale slowly bring yourself.

Breathe in nurturing yourself to your core.

Exhale remember the ground always beneath you.

Lovingly breathe in sweetheart.

Exhale be here feeling.

Relax beneath your skin feel all you touch.

And listen to your inner guidance.

This morning as I pulled weeds I was reminded of the importance of awareness.

As I held each plant I felt a knowing deep in my gut.

Guiding and instructing me on how to pull each plant from the soil.

Some weeds uprooted quickly with a light grasp.

Others had long thick roots and needed a firm grasp and slow steady pulling.

When my thoughts drifted I'd squeeze tightly and be cut by thorns.

Or tug quickly and give the plant a haircut leaving the roots intact.

These were my gentle reminders to slow down and be aware.

To be present and live in my body.

To breathe beautifully and feel the energy in all I touch.

Slow down and relax.

Ground your energy low in your body and feel the ground always beneath you.
